The projection and the sound quality is very good. But the auditorium feels cheaper and with 1.43:1 projection, the bottom railing covers like 10% of the screen even if you are sitting way up high. The incline of the seats is also not great, you will have other people's heads in the view most of the time.I don't understand who designed such a bad auditorium for a high grade cinema like IMAX.

I have no idea why this has such great reviews. It's completely awful. There are no real interactive games. It was truly boring. Skip this one. No pictures because everything was awful

Fantastic Imax. Has Digital and 70mm Imax. Aim for Row F or further back. Book early

Honestly best cinema experience I?ve ever had. Huge screen, it?s dual laser so you get deep blacks and tons of dynamic range, and it?s a 1.43:1 screen so you can get full IMAX without any cropping. Dune (both parts) were awe-inspiringly incredible here. The sound does a huge job but also the dynamic range really immerses you into it and you completely forget that you?re watching a movie on a screen and it just transports you there. Some scenes look life-sized and real. I would recommend avoiding sitting in the first 3 rows as there is a waist-high railing at the bottom for safety and for 1.43:1 films it will get in the way of the bottom part of the film. At row 3 it?s only just in the way which is totally fine once you get into it. Minimal food options just keep in mind!

Which DUNE part 2 there, the best cinema experience ever. Love the big screen and sound system. Will definitely come back for another epic movie.

Great screen, however no salted popcorn or savoury snacks. Also the showings are rarely on time, but look and sound good when they begin.

Don't go here by looking at the google map. The way to find the imax is very different from what google map says. it's very confusing for first time visit I had to run to get in. The other gate was like on the other way around , not too far like 6-8min walk but I wasn't really informed. Also if it is your first time visiting the cinema, imax is really far end in the science museum. make your visit early about 20min than the actual start of the film. Also the staffs are not really welcoming, I was in a rush bc I didn't want to lose any minute of the movie and they were are quite rude in the box office (they had a look on the face that the door is obviously on the right when I doublechecked ). And when I tried to enter, one of them were like no, you have to wait. Why not give instructions first rather than making the customer seem impatient

Disappointed in the customer service when I visited to see Dune 2. Rude staff at the popcorn desk. Patronising staff in the cinema itself and passive aggressive when needing some assistance. Not the quality of customer service I would expect from an IMAX cinema.

Abrupt, rude, and downright terrible customer service at the popcorn desk before the Dune 2 showing this afternoon. Film viewing experience was excellent, but unfortunately tarred by unhelpful and impatient staff.

Great screen size. Seating is comfy and has 3 drinks holders per pair of seats, handy if you are sharing snacks for example. Refreshments are fairly reasonable, a small popcorn, can of pale ale and can of coke was about £8ish. Book rear row for best view of screen as I can imagine it's not much fun looking up at the screen from the front rows.

The walk to the screen can take a few minutes, but it's worth it as the sound and screen quality are breathtaking. I'd definitely recommend a visit even though the price is on the more expensive side.

Good screen and audio however it's not a well designed cinema. The front few rows are far too close to the screen to properly be able to watch the film, the seats don't lean back at all, and then the leg room is appalling. Food and drinks are reasonably priced at least

Go to Waterloo IMAX instead, which has a better screen and staff.Complete faff to get to. Once inside the Science Museum it's a free for all to find - no directions given, had to ask multiple times for how to get to it. Once you've walked through everything (how annoying if you're not there for a film by the way, to see people streaming through), the staff were awful. Popcorn lady was very rude to me and my wife. Offered my rubbish to staff at end and they refused as there was another bin, bizarre passive comment. Not rushing back any time soon which is such a shame as the setting is quite nice and IMAX is incredible.

We went to see Oppenheimer in 70mm IMAX here and it was absolutely stunning! Nothing I've seen before beats the picture quality of the 70mm print. It's also such a rare experience, being one of only three cinemas in the UK capable of projecting this format. The price is also quite good for this kind of thing (a little cheaper than the BFI IMAX at Waterloo). Food and drink is also very well priced, cheaper than the majority of cinemas.Make sure to arrive in time as you need to walk through the length of the Science Museum from the main entrance/exit to the back where the cinema is.Would absolutely recommend seeing a film here and will definitely return!
