Completely useless, no one wants to help you, especially those at the counter. Your directed to the machine's that never work properly.I have another account at Nationwide, different kettle of fish they bend over backwards to help. I will closing my accounts with Barclays as they couldn't give a hoot about there customers, even after 50 years of banking .

Terrible rood staff never been spoke to like it before .think staff are angry that branch is being closed and seem to be taking it out on customers .was told to use automated service but when it wouldn't work said they didn't have time to help .outrageous ?

Worst branch I?ve ever been into?. Would have given -5 stars. Poor customer service, no staff available, no counters open, ever customer that came in complaint.I had to come into this branch as my father?s probate had to been signed, which was a five minute job. Was advised to come in (without an appointment and we would be seen). We waited 2 hours before someone could see us I arrived at 9.30am from Brentwood when it wasn?t busy but the manager refused to witness me sign ONE piece of paper, because the ?computer said no?. No wonder the branch is closing, incompetent staff.

Poor customer service in terms of staff knowledge of their own system. In response to query, staff advised to call customer service or return at a later time when branch is not understaffed. Telephone service said they can't help and when I was back at the said time, I was told to go to a bigger branch. Big waste of time and effort. Be better. There was no expression of apology or sympathy.

I was directed to this branch by Barclays on the phone to do a simple update on my account which can only be done in branch. Took the time to go to the branch and they said it's appointment only. They said they had availability for two hours from the time I'm visiting (I live 30 mins walk away). Now have to visit another branch - I asked what branches I could do this without needing an appointment and they didn't know. No wonder branches are being closed.

Every employee at this branch seems to hate life and has constant attitude every time. Especially the women who work in there. They will give you attitude and rude responses when you ask something or are confused about something - they also do this to elderly people using this branch as I have witnessed many times, where their responses are passive aggressive and impatient. If you don?t like this role or have patience then you?re in the wrong field ?? everyone needs a big personality change in this branch. The bank is filled with negative energy the minute you speak with one of them. I won?t name names for embarrassment.

One of the worst branch. The staff stereotype me because of my beard and I'm an Asian. All I wanted to do was to deposit a cheque. I have to show her 3 forms of ID. I was told to wait for the manager to verify the ID and cheque. As a Premier account holder, I told her I will deal with in canary wharf branch and left.

The service I received in branch this morning was appalling the counter service is closed due to a technical fault and only one self service machine working the queue was crazy I asked a member of staff ( one I haven?t seen before ) why they were open as they can?t seem to provide a service and her response was we are here to help , strange that as she walked out the back and left her colleague to manage the 15 people getting upset standing in the queue the poor gentleman in front of me was left to wait unsteady on his feet for over 25 mins I walked out as the queue was not moving will not be returning to the branch

one of the staff was extremely rude I will post the name and complain to Barclays next time I go back then again.My bank card wasn't working on the machine so I approach the cashier she clearly seems doesn't want to work there and rudely said I should used the machine, I told her my bank card not working and the new card hasn't arrived and then she started to mumbling arrogantly. I had a few words with her asking her why is she there if you are so unhappy with your job then she just proceed to ignore me.

Went in to cancel appointments for both me and husband in plenty of time wrote it all down but still received messages reminding us of the appointments plus was told we had to open a barclays app before the appointment which we tried to do several times but it kept cutting out before we could finish result? We cx appointment and wetook our monies elsewherestaff helpful though (south wood branch)

Very limited opening hours, always understaffed. Any staff actually there always looks overwhelmed or clueless.

Went in to get an up to date print out statement and the machine wasn't working so waited in the queue this morning at opening time (10am 29/06/22). The advisor went on to interrogate me about why I needed it, and claimed it wasn't necessary. Gave me a slip with my balance and I said this wasn't what I needed as it didnt have my name on it etc. She said this is the first time in 22 years that someone has requested this for their travels and kept on saying you can just show them your balance on mobile app or print a statement from there, which ISNT AN UP TO DATE STATEMENT. I said this is for me and my own reassurance and I don't want to use my phone. Ended up walking away from her thanking her for not helping me at all and refusing to serve me basically. So essentially she refused to serve me because she considered my reasoning invalid... why did I even need to give a reason to get a statement??? No one else was free to help me and the machine was still broken so had to go to Liverpool Street where the advisor assisted me straight away and said I should complain about this woman for not helping me. There was no excuse for her to be so rude and resistant to helping, and it would have saved everyone involved time if she had just listened to what I was asking in the first place. Such a simple request as well. Considering changing banks at this point.
