Worst customer service ever. No one seems to have a clue what or where anything is. I thought it was a one off at first but seems like an everyday thing there. The staff love to fob you off. You?ve travelled all the way there for them to tell you to buy an item off the website because they?re too lazy to actually help you in store.ridiculous - better off going to another b&q where staff care for their customers

I visited B & Q late yesterday evening at 7pm in the Sydenham Branch with my Son looking for a Bathroom Suite, tiles & flooring. I asked Malgorzata for help , she was on a call & very busy however she stopped & helped us in such a professional manner. She had a smile on her face, even though it was nearly at the end of a long shift I guess & went above & beyond her customer service to help us, so Thank You so much Malgorzata .Malgorzata Is an asset to B & Q.

My wife bought 2 rolls of wallpaper from this store for our daughters bedroom but when the wallpaper went on the wall the quality of the paper wasn't good , the paper was so thin it started to rip so my wife called customer service and the person on the phone said go back to Sydenham store with the receipt and they will give you a credit note so my wife started calling the store and ringing for 15 mins and then cutting off as no one was picking up the phone so after trying lots of times on the phone ,my wife went to the store and spoke to a manager called rodrick and he was very very rude to my wife and he didn't want to listen to what my wife had to say about the wallpaper and what customer service told her and saying my wife was a lair, my wife told me he made her look small the way he was talking to her, rodrick said did you take a photo of the wallpaper and my wife said customer service didn't say anything about taking a photo only do you have a receipt.This so called manager shouldn't be in this position as the way he speaks to people like this very poor service he needs retraining and I wont be spending My money in this store anymore as I've been going to this store for 10 yearsP.s I would have gave No stars for this store but its not allowed

Always well stocked with what I need and lovely staff service! In particular the lovely young man George at the tills who helped me today, so polite and friendly a credit to the business, will be coming soon for my paint project!

Don?t bother with their click and collect service? had to wait 15 minutes at their collection point as there was no one there? As a queue was building up I phoned the store from the vacant collection point and asked for someone to attend?the operator told me to press the red call button which I had already done about 20 times?.operator then hung up on me? Eventually a very disagreeable female assistant turned up who did not apologize for the delay and was very sultry, avoiding eye contact. She found my items and told me to remove them from her trolley and put them on a store trolley. As I did so I pointed out to her that the call button did not work to which she replied ?Yup?? no other communication throughout and a half an hour wasted. STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT USE CLICK AND COLLECT AT THIS STORE!

Soon as I walked through the door it wasn?t pleasant as somebody was asking staff ( I think her name was Jenny ) for information and she told them what they wanted to know then turned around and sniggered something to a older male that was also staff and they laughed together which I found really rude and unprofessional. Also most of the younger staff had really bad attitude and mumbled like they didn?t want to talk to you at all and the facial expressions was really intimidating, I caught to of the younger male and female staff arguing with each other like they was a couple I had to interrupt them before I could ask a price on something that wasn?t labelled. Then finally the girl that served us didn?t say hello or talk to us what so ever. Sadly won?t be shopping there again. I?m not sure of most of there names but if it helps I was in there on Monday the 24th of July 2023 and was at the till exactly 13.43

Mis-selling and zero customer serviceBought a kitchen in 2022, was upsold expensive new style kitchen counters that needed a specific adhesive, then get a note before installation saying the adhesive is cancelled from my order - it had been discontinued nationally.complained around 6 times via online and phone - got nowhere. Complained to store - said to contact head office. Wrote a letter to head office - referred me back to Sydenham. Manager at Sydenham (Rod,) said he?d speak to manager and get back to me - 1 month later, nothing and not picking up phone.All in - avoid B&Q and get your stuff from Wickes

Not great at all. Very strange experience. First our trolley with all our shopping got ?tidied? away while we were looking for screws. So we had to start again. Then at the self-checkout, nobody was there to help us with a missing barcode. I went to get a different item (with a barcode), leaving my elderly dad at the check-out. While I was gone someone finally appeared - not to help us though but to delete all the scanned items and ?tidy? our shopping away (again). My dad tried to explain we weren?t finished and needed help, but he was just ignored. Not very nice at all. Also the trunking was quite expensive, so we ended up driving elsewhere for the majority of the things we needed. Unlikely to go back.

The shop was well stocked and we got what we needed, however when we got to the till the member of staff had no customer service skill also not wear a name badge, double charged for an item, luckily I noticed before leaving the shop, when I said I been over charged they just looked at me and said what you want me to do about it..... to which I replied I want a refund, this all seemed to much effort, so asked for a manager, to which I was told they only come down for something important, to which I replied a customer being over charged is just that.... to which her reply was you need to calm down, when he turned up was just as ill trained in customer service... also using the words calm down and why are you angry with us.... so I say to B&Q train your staff how to sort out really simple problems or lose customer ?

Bought this off your store, very new to turf laying, neighbours said these look dead, called store one hour after purchasing, then called your store manager and sent email, no reply and you guys could not give bonkers.Very disappointed! Never again!!!

Too busy to look after customers.I went there to get some house plants. I went to the garden centre section and asked for help as I was looking for plants that like shades. I've been told to look at the little paper on the plants.It was morning and most sales assistants where standing around and chatting to each other. The shelves with the pots were a mess and none in the right place. Couldn't make out any of the prices correctly. I've ended up wasting my morning there going through many plants to find what I needed. Where are the passionate shop assistants that understand a customer's needs??Get some staff with dedication and education.

I use this for building materials mostly. Sand and cement isn't too dear. You need to know about what it is you need as the staff won't be able to help that much, like most similar places the staff aren't experts. Lots of parking at the sydenham branch. Good range of Paints as well. Their own brand GoodHome durable paint is pretty good. I've used it and it does perform well. They have ma y other brands and colour match and mixing is available as well. Could do with more self service tills. One of the staff was so lazy that she got me to scan my own items, then gave instructions on what to press on the screen which then allowed me to pay. She just couldn't be bothered to get up from her chair. I was in a good mood so found this quite amusing, you can make your own judgement.
