Fairly new purpose built Travelodge hotel. We like Travelodge as a brand because we know exactly what we will get - clean room, comfortable bed, good value breakfast if we want it but optional so don't feel obliged. The only downside to this one where we stay regularly visiting daughter and grandchildren is the car park which is very cramped to manoeuvre in and usually full. Incidentally, children eat for free if adults are having breakfast which our 8 and 6 year old grandsons think is wonderful as they all have hollow legs so a great treat for them When we stay.Update September 2022: children no longer eat for free and you now pay for car parking - £5 per day which isn't too bad but there is often no room. The breakfast deal has changed a bit - two under 15s eat for free for each adult at £10.55 - but still a good deal. Just wish they would stop putting so much water in the orange juice. It's almost tasteless but the rest is very good.

Standard Travelodge London Teddington, near Twickenham/stadium. Has a large bar, serving food. Rooms very clean. Handy for access to Twickenham stadium/rugby. Walking to Twickenham about 90 minutes, there's bus service/stop across the road.It has its own car park, pay at machine, but be aware the car park entrance & exit ramps are ridiculously narrow, if your car is medium/large you'll have difficulty in getting in & out, might damage your car when turning (acute angle) both in & out of the car park!

Room pretty basic, but comfortable. Shower tray was blocked and took ages to drain away. No hair dryer in room which you would think would be standard. Coffee cups, coffee etc not replenished during our 2 night stay. Parking very good right under the hotel. Location excellent as just around the corner from Teddington high street.

Great welcome. Customer service impeccable. Car park is only suitable for small cars unless you have sensors and cameras to stop you scraping the wall. It?s very very

Given the price, this is excellent value for money. It's definitely no-frills, but it was clean, comfortable, and (considering it's next to a railway line) quiet. Breakfast was good (costs about £10) and well worth paying for Wifi (£3 for 24 hrs). Don't expect luxury (towels are thin, no bath mat), but the room has all the essentials and I was able to borrow a hairdryer from reception. I didn't have a car; parking seems to be a source of frustration for others. Teddington is a lovely suburb and if the location works for you, this Travelodge is a good value choice. I'll be happy to stay again.Rooms: Pretty basic; have been smartened up recently. Shower decent, bed base a little tired, but clean and comfortable. Desk for working. My room faced the road (not the railway) and I couldn't hear the trains at all. Plan to pay for Wifi - the free option was bad but £3 for 24 hours makes a big difference.Nearby activities: Bushy Park, Kingston, Hampton Court Palace, Twickenham Rugby, river Thames all close. About 45 mins (?) by train to Waterloo.Walkability: Very close to Teddington station, bus stops, and excellent small shops (plus M&S Food) on Teddington High Street. Quick to Kingston, pretty fast to LHR (Express Bus from Broad Street).

Fast and easy checking in the only problem is waiting for reception to open the car parking gate

What a difference a year makes. We stay once or twice a year visiting family locally. Last year was absolutely terrible. The stench of weed permeated every part of the building. This year, it's been refurbished. Lovely quiet stay, really good breakfast. The sausages were actually really good. Staff were polite and friendly. Remember it's a Travelodge but it's actually pleasant for a couple of nights stay. The location is within walking distance of family.
