I can?t fault the service I received from Anthony James jewellers. Very friendly and professional. A selection of diamonds were brought in for me to see and pick from. Thank you Harry for going above and beyond to create my dream ring. I absolutely love it.

It?s not often I?m shocked these days- times have changed and often, customer service is a thing of the past. ? lend me your ears? and you will avoid a similar experience, and more importantly your ? money.?I called in to their shop today enquiring about a Rolex Daytona, in white gold with a price tag of £28,500- this has been in the window for around 2, years being progressively reduced from £35,000- I collect watches, so take an interest in what is being offered. The watch was advertised as with box, but no papers, the papers essentially being a ? log book of authenticity.I asked quite reasonably, what assurance could they give, that it is a ? genuine article? Fair enough??The response from a T? shirt clad assistant. ?We don?t sell fakes, go somewhere else if you don?t like it!?Would you even consider parting with with a fraction of this amount from his ? testament?? In the words of John McEnroe. ? You cannot be serious? It beggars belief that this individual can be employed in a customer serving role. You are taking the P???You are not Rolex agents- and never would be from my experience with let?s call him, CHAVVY.At your suggestion ? I will take my business elsewhere?and where they will, no doubt, gain a sale.Without papers any prospective buyer will be cautious- some of the fakes on the market nowadays are so good the only way a jeweller can tell is buy opening the back, or sending it to Rolex, for authentication. It also begs the question,? why would an owner not have the papers?? knowing they would have a more limited market place.Given the above, you have to try harder to close a sale. He was atrocious-. It will be interesting to see how long it remains in the window for!? Here?s to another two years.?

Extremely disappointed and angry with the service I received recently. I took a watch for its first battery replacement since I bought it. They took it and said it would not be an issue. When I came back about 20 minutes later, the young man who was there handed the watch back to me saying that he " tried" putting an new battery in but it didn't want to work. He said that it's probably because the watch was broken and that it would not make any sense to try to repair it as it would probably not be possible and might cost more than the watch itself (it's worth about £200). I was given "advice" to buy a new watch and throw this one away ( although it was a good brand and only 2 years old).I had a strange feeling that the man wasn't telling me the truth so I found another watch shop where they looked inside and showed me that the new battery was put inside but it was pushed inside so unprofessionally that one of the links that should hold the battery in place and connect to the mechanism was broken off. No surprise the battery and the watch did not want to work. Fortunately, this watch repairer was not only skillfull enough to replace the broken part but also installed a new long-term battery in another watch I had- all for only £40 only for both jobs. So if you need a good watch repairer or a qualified battery replacement person, I won't recommend this Kingston shop at all. Contact me if you want the address of them specialist who helped me (he is not that close to Kingston but worth a journey).
