Unfortunately, my experience at this Tesco location was disappointing. It's in dire need of a refurbishment as the overall appearance leaves much to be desired. The long queues are a major downside, and to make matters worse, the self-checkout machines seem to be perpetually malfunctioning, causing even more frustration.I couldn't help but wonder if the Tesco stores in more affluent areas of London or Croydon offer a better shopping experience. The stark contrast between this store and the potential alternatives left me questioning the quality of service provided. If you're looking for a more hassle-free and pleasant shopping trip, I would recommend considering other options like Lidl or Aldi. These stores have consistently provided a better environment and more efficient service.

Tesco is okay. Not brilliant. Their slogan, "every little helps" does not always pay off. Like trying to get staff to refill boxes with more string bags for the fruit and veg. And, as in my case to get one for a torn bread packaging. I asked three staff. None were interested. The company has its " weak links ". But, overall, it has its uses. And it is only next door. What's that expression, nothing is perfect ?

Always have a good stock, lovely store with excellent staff. Checkout girl Amber was excellent, I had an issue with my club card and she fixed it very quickly and efficiently.

Customer Service:Tesco prioritizes customer satisfaction and has a friendly and helpful staff. The employees are generally approachable and ready to assist with inquiries or locating products. However, during peak hours, the checkout queues can be long, leading to slight delays in the payment process. Despite this, the checkout staff work efficiently to minimize wait times.Value for Money:Tesco is known for its competitive pricing and frequent promotional offers. The availability of Tesco's own brand products, which often provide quality alternatives at lower prices, allows customers to save money without compromising on quality. Tesco's Clubcard loyalty program also rewards frequent shoppers with discounts and additional benefits, adding further value to the shopping experience.

there is a grumpy woman on customer service, been there 10 min ago? I went with my grandmother to return a blender that doesn't work and to pay for some bananas that my grandmother took. I asked her if she could pay her there she answered her with a bad mood turning her back she doesn't even see you from the front.

Why do you sell a rotten and not fresh vegetable? This is second time I've found your carrot in very poor quality and this is not only carrot. Prices just still increasing and an overall quality is decreasing. Better to go on local market and buy all groceries there.

Pretty "meh" experience. Some staff are great, which improves the experience, but most are fairly indifferent.Price labels are not always updated.

This is the WORST Tesco store in the Borough of Croydon. The staff are unprofessional and un-trained. They have no customer service skills and have no respect for each other. They are loud and rude to customers. They argue among themselves and insult eachother in front of customers. They are the most "rachet" employees I've ever come across in retail. If one wants to enjoy their shopping experience, then one is better off going to Sainsburys; less than a mile further, or visit the Tesco Super store in Streatham, also less than a mile away from Thornton Heath Clock Tower.

Worst customer service received by the lady today at 12:55 serving at the customer service for wrongly priced item. Firstly She was not even wearing a name badge at all which is not surprising in this store?s customer service anyway & when I asked her what?s her name where?s the name badge she refused & gave me a frown look saying ?you?re confusing me?.She demanded to bring the item back from my car in the car park rather than scanning/editing the barcode number already in the the store shop which I was more than happy to bring it to her as I showed her the Clubcard number printed on the receipt already. Also she refused to scan/edit barcode picture taken from my phone to refund the difference.
