Overall the hotel was excellent - the breakfasts good and the staff very efficient and courteous. Posting to register the fact that certain parts of the hotel need modernisation. I last stayed there over ten years ago and nothing has changed to keep up with how life has changed. First, the toilets do not have 'soft close' lids, something that we have all become very used to. Secondly, . there were no power points on one side of the bed - And finally there were no USB charging points, common these days in modern hotels, and essential for travellers. The decor could do with a refresh. but small moves to modernisation as described above would make the stay more enjoyable

I used to work at this hotel 10 years ago when everything was new and the quality was great. I expected to see an updated version of what I knew - that was not the case. Everything was the same except looking well worn and tired. Really disappointing. My request for my amenities in the room took over 40 mins to arrive (having to call down a second time). The toilet was coming off the wall when you sat on it. The windows were absolutely covered in bird poo ("I've given you a room with a lovely view"...). We were in 314, which was right next to the housekeepers cupboard, so all we heard was thumping from 6am (we were there for leisure!!) The best squeak. There was no mirror on the desk which made it difficult getting ready for our occasion. There was no bin in the room so we had to use the ice bucket! Overall, it was just a huge disappointment.

We started as a deal while attending a charity dinner and feel the hotel takes advantage of the fact people kind of need to stay there if attending functions at Twickenham. Stayed in family room on the fifth floor - there were no double rooms available. First room we were given smelt of cigarettes and the air conditioning did not work. We were moved immediately to another room?this had dirty windows and windowsill, chair was filthy - old and used!! After mentioning this on the app someone did come and clean while we were at dinner. Staff were lovely but the rooms just need updating?.not a good standard for a Marriott. Wine in the bar was limited and if poor quality. Breakfast was disappointing- soggy hash browns and mushy baked beans, orange juice warm?and the buffet food cold - I glad it was a surprise inclusion with the room and not something we decided to pay for additional. I?m the corridors cleaners trollers were out all the time - next to our door was one full of towels?.they need to learn from Dubai and Las Vegas hotels?.they manage all this very discretely

Perfect for an overnight stay post rugby match. Lots of atmosphere during the day, the entire place was buzzing, yet super quiet during the night (something I was concerned about due to the location). All of the staff from reception to waiters were super friendly and helpful. Room spacious and well equipped, great view over the famous rugby statue and you could even see The Shard in the distance. Modern bathroom and large walk-in shower. Lovely complimentary gifts as we stayed for the match, including a small bottle of rugby themed gin and coffee. Location obviously perfect! Food at dinner was served fast and piping hot. The pizza was delicious. The breakfast was the biggest surprise (you could choose a la carte or buffet) as buffet breakfasts can be very hit or miss. The selection was great and everything felt fresh and nothing was left to run out. Croissants some of the best I?ve ever had. Again service with a smile and super efficient at clearing away dirty plates. From now on we will not only look forward to the match itself but also the stay here!

Have been using their parking facilities on and off for 5 years and I can?t think of a worst place to park. The latest visit last week and I had to park on a gravel surfaced and partly flooded area with potholes and so far from the hotel it required a hike around half of the stadium. If this was a one-off experience, I wouldn?t bother complaining. But this has been an ongoing issue for a long time and is only getting worse.

Arrived after a long journey at 23:05. Was not allowed a drink (non alcoholic) or snack as bar was closed. No room service at all. Was offered a bottle of water for the room instead. Odd for a hotel. Room good. Went for breakfast, no room for us. It was a 30 minute wait so we ate our breakfast on a low table in the foyer. When we checked in the receptionist insisted on ID, when my wife handed over her driving licence the receptionist started taking details. When we asked why she said she is taking the address (although they had it) as she was making us members of some find of Marriott club. When we said that we don't want to we were told it's compulsory for all people staying. Anyway, I will not be staying at a hotel who cannot offer food and drink (non alcoholic) after 23:00 on a Saturday night again.

We stayed at London Marriot between 17th and 19th July 2023 with family and friends and we had the best time!! The rooms were so spacious and very clean! The food&beverage staff at the restaurant were very polite, helpful and professional. Really went out their way to make us feel right at home. Terence and Alice gave us the best service. And the food was awesome! Front office supervisor Noela was kind enough to show us around and gave us a view of the Twickenham Stadium. Would def recommend! Mercy, Robert & Carol

Had great stay, food and drinks in the evening were of a good standard, had a junior suite which was nice, staff great and friendly, as always. On our last visit we had a few issues, the manager really made our visit great upon return, along with all the staff.

Ellie was delightful on check-in. We arrived late at night, and she shifted rooms around to accommodate me. Loved her can do attitude and practical thinking. Lovely personality. Room was big, so was the bathroom. One that size needs a bath to give it an edge. Love the location. Breakfast has enough to keep you happy. Daniel stood out as a happy , attentive type and he provided the service that is needed. Check-out was quick and friendly. Great stay , will come back again. Thanks especially to Ellie. Hope that's the correct spelling.

We missed out on a Pitch View Room where you can see the pitch, but I thought thats okay I'm sure you can see it from other parts of the hotel. No you can't, there is no view of the inside of the stadium from this hotel at all unless you have one of those rooms. Please bear that in mind. If you are lucky enough to get a 3rd floor room hope its not one with pigeons outside who over the years have so dirtied the window it is actually difficult to see out of (genuinely). Its probably very good the windows don't open. The signage for parking was very poor, we drove around for 20 mins before finding out you have to use the drop off area by the hotel first and then they give you a map. The pool is not onsite, it is a Virgin Active Gym, just next door, quite a lot busier than a normal Marriott hotel and made it inaccessible for our children. The TV menu said there was no Room Service available, (unclear whether this was actually the case) There is no main restaurant in the evening, just the bar (most Marriott's have both options). Bar staff were very friendly. And they have only two dessert options, fruit or ice-cream (At least according to the online menus) so we went to Tesco for those. All in all. the hotel is okay but not what we usually expect staying in a Marriott hotel.

Awful experience but what is more shocking is the staff The previous time here the room I had was very basic and in a poor condition and the shower hardly worked This time I paid extra for a room , only to get given the same room The staff including the manager seemed to not care , offered no alternatives and actually lied to me saying all rooms are the same However I have stayed here before many times and know what other rooms they do have and they do have rooms with showers that work Hygiene of the room is very poor , cleanliness is not good smells Staff are of a poor standard and unprofessional

Where to begin.. our wedding day was the most relaxed, comfortable and beautiful day we could have dreamt of. The team at the Marriott Twickenham hotel raised the bar for expectations to another level and to say they delivered, is an understatement. It honestly was a case of showing up on the day and everything was done for us to an immaculate and beautiful standard. We are eternally grateful to Jas and the team for all their help with delivering our special day. One that we will truly never forget. Right from the start it was comforting to know we were in good hands with Jas. She was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to see to it that we were happy on the day. We can?t thank Jas and her team enough!

I've been a Marriott member for years and always receive phenomenal service. However, this hotel was just subpar. The Formation bar is an eye-sore, service is slow, which we didn't understand because there was only one other table while we were there. So slow that after finally ordering beers, we decided to order takeaway which came all before the server came back to our table to take our food order. When we got to our room, it was dirty. The bathroom had dirty water and hair on the floor, there was hair in our bed. Very disgusting. The front desk staff was not mean but not very pleasant either. Overall, this was my least favorite Marriott experience that I've had- and I've stayed at over 25 different Marriott locations. I frequently visit London, but I'm afraid I will not be staying here again.

We travelled down on the Friday and stayed till the Monday, I had read some of the negative reviews and felt they must have stayed at a different hotel. When we arrived it was extremely busy due to the Rugby the following day, but we were still made to feel by the busy staff as though we were the only people there, they couldn?t have been more helpful and this theme continued throughout our stay. The room perhaps not the most modern design but was large clean and very comfortable. I needed the pillows changing as they were duck down and again not a problem. The food was delicious and they catered for every dietary requirement. And you could have a laugh with the staff though they were extremely professional at all times. I stay at several hotels throughout the year for work I do like the Marriot group but it?s not always in my works budget, but we are all ready talking about coming back here for a break next year. The hotel said it?s having a refurbishment looking forward to seeing the rooms then. Would highly recommend the hotel, the staff and the food. The Gym next door makes a really nice addition could add a beauty department for massage would have made it perfect.

My 7 year old child had a doctor's appointment in Twickenham on a Saturday morning so I decided to take a train in from Manchester and get him settled the night before so we didn't have to make a super-early start to the day. If you're coming to watch a rugby match, the location (attached to the stadium) would be brilliant but that was neither a benefit nor drawback to us. We arrived quite late so we checked in and went to bed so I really saw little of the hotel besides our room and the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was generous and tasty and the room where it was served was clean with attentive staff. But our room was tired, run-down. To be honest, all I really needed from the room was to sleep and shower the next morning so I didn't much care but it looked like it could use a good overall refresh. It was clean but depressing.
