You will look back at Barclays and think why did I deal with these complete con merchants with far cat CEO's who have the morals of Boris Johnson. You will never regret it and will never need to go into one of their useless branches with neverending lines of unhappy customers dealing with staff who do not want to be there.Updated 8 Jan 2024The reply from James at Barclays is wholly inedaquate and fails to address the issues raisded in particularly with Stephen C thats I highlighted. A generic reply does not help.Horrible experience at this branch. My account was blocked and I was forced to visit this branch to show photo ID. This is despite 4 calls in the week with the Fraud Team to prove my transactions were legitimate. Had to wait for ages at the branch and was then dealt with by an able and decent customer service agent. She wished to credit my account by £50 for the inconvenience. She then spoke to her manager (Stephen C) who then retracted the offer saying she had made an error. I feel sorry for the staff working under this horrible individual who undermines them in public. I am now closing my business account with immediate effect and moving to Starling why I have excellent service with my personal account. Please do look at Starling, Monzo and Tide before banking with this dinosaur which continues to exploit its customers.

We come today to open bank account for my family relative come risently to UK they just need any basic bank account for work and we have refuse to open , not recommend to no one this Bank .we went to HSBC and they open in one hr time .

Opening times are horrible for anyone who works, I wanted to open an account, find out which ones right for me " you have to use the app" like why? Why cant I just do it in store, and why is the bank always always closed when I'm not working, makes it infuriating trying to do anything 3 pm closing on a weekday is absolutely ridiculous even In college right next to the bank i couldn't make it, it just feels like everything has been made purposefully more difficult

Not even worth for 1 star rating. Since I've to select 1 start atleast, I'm selecting it. To open a new account through app, it is said thhat they've sent a code to verify my address. Its been 10 days, I didnt recieve a code. And I tried booking an appointment with Barclays bank, they dont have any appointment for next 10 days. Even to book after 10 days, the customer service is asking a code, which will be in the app. but the app doesnt show any number. It just says to wait for code. To open a bank account, is it logical to wait for 20 days?

Brandon was an absolute delight to work with, he is professional, courteous, extremely knowledgable and did an incredible job at explaining rather complex matters to myself and my partner in a very simple way. His thorough yet calm approach made a highly stressful situation much more manageable, his brilliant sense of humour helped too! Just landed in UK and needed to restart my Barclays account and order up new cards so I made my way into Barclays Uxbridge branch. I was seen very rapidly by a very helpful kind man and another very helpful lady also joined us to assist. All in all, everything dealt with rapidly, all done and dusted within 20 minutes. Good branch!

Literal thieves working in Uxbridge Barclays. Twice they have helped themselves to £20 in coins from deposits. Happened again today, banked £740 and they claim there was only £720. Literal thieves.

The staff is rude and dont know how to talk to customers. I went into the bank for a letter and waited my turn when the staff asked me to update my address i stepped out to do that over the phone with barclays which should have been done with the staff i was speaking to but anyways when i walked back in they expected me to get in line and wait for another 45mins to get the letter printed. Its not a very smart system. Its very sad to put your hard earned money with them and then be treated like this.
