Lovely collection and great price. We bought some furniture for our living room. We particularly went there to buy stuff mainly because of their ideology , supporting a good cause. We are always happy to spend some money to support this. The ladies who explained and processed our transactions were really great and customer friendly. Lovely bunch of staff.I should have given 5 stars. Decided to give 4 stars because of one of their male staff.A tall, light skinned guy with small ponytail hair. From the time we stepped in at 4.35pm, we were not happy with his attitude. Unnecessarily staring at us for no reason. I have no idea what's wrong with him. I believe he is the manager, since I have seen only him not wearing the uniform. There were about 10 mins to close the store, he came to us and in a rude manner he said we need to leave within 5 mins.No Hi, No hello , No sorry.Again, when we paid for the bill, he came near us and unnecessarily stared. It's really uncomfortable and annoying. We don't prefer to go again there in the future when he is around. He definitely needs some "BASIC TRAINING" on improving his behaviour and attitude towards customers.

Everyone forewarned us that they thought it was really expensive in here without actually ever coming in... Prices were fantastic, we got a unit in the deal but all even the full price I would argue is a bargain! All the staff we dealt with were friendly and the gents that carried the unit out to my car for us were very helpful and careful with the unit. All in all, really impressed and we will be back!

An interesting and appealing mainly used furniture shop, which supports a good cause.Prices seem reasonable, and the staff in the store seem approachable, efficient and engaged.Set in a lovely historic building, I find the use of this space very interesting.

My husband passed away recently from a traffic accident whilst cycling from a HGV lorry driver. Both of us cycling every year in the London to Brighton bike ride and collected for the BHF annually.I have two double beds ( fire proof and regulated), two tables (one small and a larger one ) for a living room and two side tables for a bedroom with two lamps. All in immaculate condition. However, after reading your reviews it makes me hesitant and sad to read such atrocious reviews when decent people are trying to give generously for such a great charity.I live in Kingswood and not sure the Wallington branch will be my local branch, however, can someone please reach out and let me know if it's worth contacting as I really do not want to waste my time.Lorraine

Arranged collection of a rise and recliner from Wallington store which we had bought 2 months ago from another BHF in North East. Two men arrived 10 minutes before earliest pick up time of 7am so disturbed whole household as dogs hadn't been secured then told us it didn't have original fire safety sticker despite it coming from another BHF store. They arrived at this conclusion after realising it was a heavy chair that needed to go down three steps. Therefore left without the chair which had its instruction booklet and year of manufacture which was less than three years ago. Lazy lazy lazy. We regularly use BHF both by purchasing and donating but will never do so again. Luckily have option of another charity who have agreed to take it, and are pleased to accept it with its fire label.

I bought a lot of lovely furniture from them. Good quality furniture and all assembled. Delivery is fast, and their furniture pick-up service is amazing. Two men took all my furniture as I was moving. It was a super easy process for me, and I was kept updated at all times.

Requested delivery . As the property is for an elderly gentleman, we wanted it furnished before he moved in .We do have to get someone there on day of delivery . They can ask someone to call us advising of on way but can't guarantee it . Can only say between 12 and 7 o clock. If we miss delivery ( if they do contact us to say we on way ) then the charge for another delivery . Asked how we could get around this . No answers. Unsupportive and unhelpful and apparently delivery drivers are a law to them selves. This is supposed to be a charity that helps people . Didn't help me . Left without purchasing anythingDO Not Recommend

Furniture reasonable condition, but slightly overpriced especially the items that have been donated, 85 pounds for a single waldrobe that had been painted over , but add 40 pounds for delivery that is a joke for five miles, and extra for each flight of stairs, sorry but thats crazy, thanks for reply Luke you say your not aiming to sell to people in need you are trying to raise money? People who need shop in charity shops if I did not need I would buy new and donate to charity b

Very poor service if you opt for home delivery there will send the goods on there own comfortable time and if delivery is missed again there will charge the full delivery charges for goods not delivered.

Complete waste of time. Booked a furniture collection of a wardrobe that I no longer needed. Didn?t want to just dump it as it is in a perfectly good condition so thought this would be good. Yes I admit it?s almost 8ft tall but I rang up the store and put it on the collection form in which both said that was fine.Cut to today after waiting 5 days for collection and they turn up in a 2m van and won?t take it as it?s too big. Complete waste of time. As such I am going to cut it apart and dump it. Shame but I cba to deal with these people again

Won't be donating again. Waste of time. Wouldn't take two perfectly good bookcases. Most uncooperative.

Don't expect any large items to be collected as the drivers arn't interested. I booked a slot for a collection for a number of fantastic items in great condition including 2 seater sofa and a wall unit which splits into 2 sections. Yes I am on third floor but there was 2 young foreign guys and good access and easy to get to the van. Every excuse under the sun including oh that's a health and safety issue, I might break it, its too big (didn't believe it was in sections) and the best one was breaching fire safety ? laughable. They just couldn't be arsed and only took small items. They were in a hurry and appears they just rush around collecting smaller items!! Who knows where they end up, do the items even make it back to the depot or end up at a car boot and they cash in? Shame as these items could have found a nice home and the charity has missed out.

Very impressed, picked up a pair of coffee tables at real bargain prices. One needed no work and now has pride of place in our living room, the other was absolutely fine but is being upcycled and looks great. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and all for a great cause.
