Appointment 24/02/24 at 11:45I came here early as requested by them to come atleast 15minutes early.I was greeted well at the start and they booked me in to say I have arrived.I then went upstairs and the staff named Disha asked me when my appointment is. It was 11:40 at the time she asked me. She then looked at her watch and saw that there is 5minutes left for my appointment and walks away. She then comes again and looks at her watch and goes away. 12:10 my turn came for an initial view where she took pictures of my eye and told me to wait. Having told her I have another appointment at 1PM in hospital; she told me to sit and wait. It was 12:50 and my turn came; giving me 10minutes to reach the hospital and making me late for my appointment. No gesture of apologies or anything. Disha said there is 2 other people in front of you however there are 4 opticians so your turn should come quick but she couldn?t tell me an approximate.Honestly this is my first time here because I thought ?Specsavers? are good but nope; they proved me wrong with first on hands experience. Never coming here again. Ridiculous pricing and service. Another women and son were also waiting here; they came last week and the ?machine? broke down after the test. Today they did the test and again the machine is broken.The staff downstairs named Hina was really nice and friendly and assistive. She made the process smooth giving it an extra star.Wouldn?t recommend what so ever.

I?ve come here since 2010 and the staff have been good and attentive to my needs and requirements. They just keep getting better and more attentive. I would highly recommend them.

Honestly the customer service here is just apalling I had a appointment booked for my contact lenses and when I arrived they basically told me that they have to order me my lenses first then I can have my appointment once they arrived a week later, so I basically came for nothing even then she made me wait for about 20 mins saying someone will see me and nobody saw me until I went and spoke to someone, I wasted my time and money to come here left my baby at home thinking let me get this sorted but instead came for getting my time wasted. Common sense tells u that when someone is booking an appointment to make sure you have there lenses available or else there?s no point booking an appointment.

Made me wait 1 hour . After they said sorry girls at the reception forgot to register you . No one has any idea what they are doing . Never going there again and I don?t advice to anyone to go there as well

Eye test is only 25 pounds l, and I paid 10 pounds more for OCT. Nobody told me it would charge more until I have finished all the tests.

Been coming to this Specsavers for over 30years. To be very honest it's been going down hill for years. Went a few days ago for a 10:25 appointment. Arrived early as they stated. Wasn't seen for another half an hour. Then I kind of got the impression they wanted me to change or buy new glasses. As the opticians kept making a point that I haven't changed my frames since 2018. Ok yes it's been a while I have had the same frames because I looked after them and they are perfectly fine. I kind of got the impression she slightly changed my prescription to force me to pick new glasses. I even mentioned before from the same position in bed I use to struggle to read the TV guide clearly without my glasses but now I easily can. So if anything I thought my eyesight has improved. Anyway she was adamant that my eye sight has got worse. I just fail to understand how when I can see better than I ever could. I really left there feeling it was all a sales tactic to only slightly change my prescription to force me into purchasing a new pair for hundreds of pounds only because I haven't changed my pair since 2018. With no change in prescription since with annual testing. I walked out not purchasing and will be booking another appointment elsewhere to compare the prescriptions.

1 hour wait for a 3 minute check up/test (yes sat here and timed it as this was the only thing I can do. Avoid booking any appointments here as it means nothing. I had an appointment/test booked for 10am which I had to make to purchase contact lenses. So I took time off work for the time THEY agreed on. It has been an hour of waiting to get a simple test done. This isn?t the first occasion as reflected by other reviews, this is a constant problem with this location. The older person next to me was told ?you will be seen shortly the optometrist is stuck in traffic? after also waiting for an hour. The people are lovely but that only gets you so far. I?d rather they say waiting time is 1-2 hours don?t book in, but you?re only told last minute when you come to your appointment so you can?t do anything about it and if you have taken time off work? good luck.
