Well where do I start? I have been to the tasty China three times now and each time it has been fantastic, but I went on Sunday at 5 o?clock and I have never had such bad service from start to finish. We were in there about 4 1/2 hours Most of that time we were waiting for food . We booked it weeks in advance and they took £110 deposit. We ordered the all you can eat buffet when the steak came up, it wasn?t even cooked.It was so tuff We could not cut into it because they don?t have any knives, and when we asked for one, there was 11 of us in total and they only had one knife in the whole restaurant absolutely ridiculous. They also forgot dishes. When it came to the bill they had the cheek to put a £42 service charge on it , so I said you came take that off for a start when she came back with another bill that was wrong to so that went back as well. The lady was very rude we will NOT be going back there ever again disappointed to say the least .????????????????????

Like some sort of comedy sketch, every meal that slowly came out was somehow worse than the last. Malnourished dry duck, pork that smelt rancid, and somehow burnt noodles. Not one edible dish from the 20 odd we must have ordered between us. Never left an all you can eat so

Visited 1.10.23 Sunday evening buffet. Excellent food, restauraunt was very busy, but they coped very well with frequency of bringing food out. Staff were all friendly & practiced good customer services, only criticism few things on menu unavailable.

Have been coming to royal china/tasty china for over 20 years. Sad to say will not be visiting again. Service very poor, food has gone downhill and the charging has gone berserk. £145 for 3 people eating all you can eat. Shame because Mel used to run a very nice place.

I see the owner Mel mok has been putting 5 star on for his own business.Been using this place since December 2007 and always loved it. Probably been here 30 or more time as I used to work next door and indeed helped many of the staff find homes over the years.So it is with a heavy heart that I write this reviewToday we came as a group of 13 the food was not up to scratch by a long shot. We forgave the poor food quality but....The bill was inflated to cover more than we had.When we pointed out the errors a very silly British boy (Joe?) Became aggressive. Threw bills aggressively on the table, called me a C**T, then threw a temper tantrum and stormed off to stand by the bar making aggressive and threatening gesture to me..... why? because we caught him with errors on the bill.One meal here tonight, being treated so disgustingly by the English manager, has ruined 16 years of being a loyal customer.I would NEVER COME HERE AGAIN and am considering contacting the police because of his abusive and aggressive treatment directly to me...Yes we did still pay the 10% service charge however they did not deserve it. I've seen the vile behaviour he alone has given other customers (see reviews) who ask for service charge to be removed.

Lovely meal, staff were absolutely amazing, especially Jo. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our food and everything was okay.

I went there with my best friend for dinner and catch up. Food was amazing, every single dish we had was very tasty and flavourful. We had bunch of starters (scallops in black bean sauce, crab claws, chicken, green beans and fried king prawns). The duck and pancakes was very lovely as well. Overall I would highly recommend you to try it out as food is delicious and waitresses were very attentive and kind they also gave helpful recommendations.
