The sign on the door said they opened at 9 but they still weren?t open after 9.30. I understand that sometimes things happen but please be professional and leave a note on the door or get your area manager to do it.

Visited today for first time. They need to lower prices, after all it is a charity shop! Bit disappointed really but will call in again in a few weeks as it has just reopened due to Covid.

What an awful retail outlet for age uk, it has the appearance of being chaotic, and dirty, with goods scattered over floor, and piled in boxes as you walk in the door with dirty and dusty items on the shelves, not terribly inviting i'm afraid, i popped in there to see if they wanted any donations of clothes and footwear as my wife had recently passed away, and as she was only relatively young i did not know whether or not it would be the kind of thing they wanted to sell as the items in question are mostly designer clothes and footwear some of it i must add is still in packets and boxes and unopened, i just thought they might have been of some use to them, i didn't ask to be honest, the blond haired lady in there was extremely rude, as i walked through the door she shouted and i mean shouted "becareful ladies there are pickpockets in the area" and everybody turned to look at me, paranoid you might think, however having stood and observed her whilst in the shop, and also when i was stood outside the shop waiting for my daughter to come and meet me, she didn't once shout it again, despite a steady stream of potential customers coming and going and i was stood there a good 10-15 minutes, even when other male customers who were by themselves walked in, she did not say a word, i also got the impression that the lady working behind the counter was also somewhat embarrassed at her colleagues behaviour. This lady has just cost Age Concern money, and if she and head office are happy with that then good on them, it is not a charity i would wish to donate to again if i am honest, and theres me thinking the idea of the shop was to raise finances and awareness, not put people off from donating, unless your desperate to buy something in particular do try and avoid this shop.

The shop is very quirky, has some great stuff, but sadly the bric & brac is slightly overpriced & the shop has too much stuff crammed in to it, which is off putting. Did after a strenuous search manage to bag a couple of great bargains tho', just needs de- cluttering!!
P.S Is open Sundays 10am-3.30pm
