Great place to go to for a bite to eat (and you don't have to be a pensioner even though it's run by Age UK Bury). Plenty of choice on the regular menu but there are always a few specials on the board too - all at reasonable prices. Friendly atmosphere - the staff members (volunteers included) are always ready to have a chat. Add to that the lovely location overlooking the lido. Always busy - if you've not been, give it a go and if you're looking for activities to get involved in ask one of the staff for a timetable of what's available.

My friends and I use the park on regular occasions to walk our dogs. We would buy drinks at the cafe, Jubilee Centre. Last week my friend paid for some drinks and was short changed from a £20 note. They claimed he never gave them a £20 note, I suggest it was tilled in as a £10 note. My friend asked when they were going to check the till and an argument en sued. The manageress brought the argument outside in front of of witnesses and children instead of dissolving the argument she made it a lot worse. And her assistant also joined in shouting names at my friend. Not pleasant at all. We have since been to see their boss Andy because he did not even bother to get in touch with my friend about the situation. He dealt with us with no respect at all.min fact he was pompous and arrogant and made out because he wasn?t there at the time he wasn?t prepared to do anything. He has banned us from Age UK cafe, so much for customer services. He even told us we can?t sit at the blue picnic table outside the cafe. And the manageress said our dogs can?t have water.Sat outside the Jubliee Centre yesterday after seeing the boss. The manageress heard us talking outside and came out to confront us again. She actually said she had taken £20 of my friend, then realised what she said and tried to change the story she told.

After 12 month of covid the staff was so happy to see my 90 yr. old aunt return. Beautiful gathering place, food was awesome ??, wonderful views of Clarance Lido lodge (small lake) where locals fish, walk around and catch up on each other. We had meat pie w/gravy chips peas, & eggs & chips. The deserts were so inviting ? mom indulge in a delicious trifle?
