“I have been in there for the first time, yesterday and it was nice to see that they still had the same lovely staff!\\nIt has had a Makeover and as with everything that you are used to, you have to get acquainted with the new layout. Now really a major change!”

“Generally a nice store food wise and some good offers; except for when the smack heads take out a whole shelf of steak in front of everyone's eyes. Even the smart shirt and tie security guy with his M.I. style earpiece does nothing but pretend to run after them then reappears two minutes later through the back entrance. I think he just walks around the back maybe giving a blank look up the street first as if he is trying to catch them.”

“Generally quite a reasonable local convenience store but (like other Co-op stores) little evidence of staff training. Most staff are decent but one or two leave a lot to be desired when it comes to politeness. A smile and thank you cost nothing instead of bored and anti customer faces giving the impression that they had just had a row with their boyfriend/ girlfriend.”

“Although prices are higher than the big store, at local retail park, it is very convenient for an emergency shop. Staff are friendly, helpful, stocks are obviously smaller and parking can be a nightmare at busier times”

“So many Spars in Bury, especially the ones in petrol stations, have terrible reviews. This Spar standalone is fantastic! Not only is the shop clean and tidy. The staff are so nice and helpful. Big thumbs up from me 5*.”

“The staff are very friendly. There is a very good selection of cheap booze and cheap snacks. They also sell ice lollies, ice cream and some baking goods such as flour and castor sugar. ”

“A convenient local shop that has a good range of fresh produce, general groceries, refreshments and newspapers. The staff are friendly and helpful, and keep the shop tidy. Useful too is the early opening, and a cashpoint machine. The shop was formerly a CoOp store, but the layout and range of products has been largely retained. It"s not the cheapest of shops, but very convenient for the surprisingly large range of items they sell. The discounted still-fresh (yellow ticket) items are always good value.”

“Nice little store with friendly staff. Be careful in the carpark as many of the customers don't seem to understand what a double yellow line means and they NEED to be as close to the door as humanly possible.”

“I have been a regular customer in the Parkhills shop for a number of years. It's so handy, and the location is great. The shop team are really great, so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.”

“The co op in general is getting better on price and isn't that far off the big stores for some things,.still a few prices to give you a shock scattered around but the member deals can be good.”

“The staff are always very helpful and friendly and will always do their best to help with anything they can. The shop is always clean and tidy and has a good choice and plenty of offers”

“Lots of choice in the store, cash machine outside and a Costa machine inside. Queue for the checkouts always moves quickly and they bring on more tills at the first sign of the queues growing. Enough parking spaces available.”

“Good selection of foods, drinks, but it can be quite expensive! Parking can be a little difficult at times, but it's location, with a chemists, butcher, greengrocer, and hair and beauty salon, in a pleasant, desirable neighborhood can make it a nice option rather than going in to Bury, or Ramsbottom.”

“It looks a scruffy little corner on the outside but this convenience store is very clean and tidy inside. They are well stocked with things you are likely to run out of and have a super range of alcoholic and soft drinks. They are not over priced on tobacco or alcohol and all the prices are fair and reasonable. You can go here to buy a lottery ticket, top up your gas and electricity, pay your TV licence fee and pay bills. You can also buy phone cards and greetings cards. There is a stand with useful bits and pieces like string, nail clippers, plasters, curtain hooks etc. This is not a newsagent so they don't sell papers or magazines. The staff are a lovely bunch of lads who are usually up for a chat about football (Not my subject lol) and who are always immaculately turned out usually in smart casual clothing. They provide a valuable service to our community and I am thankful I have such a great corner shop close to my home.Oh and they also sell the most delicious freshly made samosas and spring rolls, well worth a try if you're a bit peckish!”

“The young man serving in your kiosk on Thursday afternoon 10th August is a credit to your company. He went above and beyond to help us in a crisis. We were able to get cash, use the loo and get a taxi to our hotel. Clueless visitors from Leeds celebrating our 50th anniversary.”

“A slightly larger store than the Co-Op in Tottington, giving more variety and bigger ranges in some parts of the shop. Also has self serve tills, friendly staff.”

“Called in just after lunchtime yesterday. Went to collect my self scan, Star Trek phaser thingy. (It's shopping Jim but not as we know it) when it seemed to malfunction.I didn't even have the time to look for assistance when young Zac appeared. In warp speed he solved whatever the problem was and had me on my way, spending my hard earned in your fine emporium. All done with a bit of cheery banter too! Take note Tesco; management material there, either that or chief engineer on a starship! Thanks again Zac”
