Decent prices if you?re willing to have a rummage but unfortunately a lot of the stock is stained or damaged because they obviously don?t check it before it?s put out.

I usually shop a lot in this charity shop and consider it very good. However, today I came across the lady and a man on a till who were absorbed in their chit chat. I bought something from the shop. There was no hello nothing from the sales assistant. She just said the price to me and that was it. It seemed like she might even as well said it to the man sat next to her. The man bothered to say thank you after I paid, lady continued to chit chat. I see this quite a lot in the shops when people not bothering to greet customers and say thank you and bye when they leave. Why work? Stay at home and chit chat and ignore everyoneIt doesn't hurt to be polite and your day feels much better when a polite friendly sales assistant greets you. Customer service needs improvement in this shop.

I'd give zero. I visited the Barnados vintage store in Cheadle today with an elderly friend. I had a carrier bag containing some fabric for which I sought matching coloured lace and thread. We didn't find anything suitable and I placed the fabric and carrier bag back in my backpack. Upon leaving the store I said thank you and smiled at the two shop assistants (two ladies, one appeared to be ~ 70y). I was shocked at their response. They accused me of theft, and stated that I had kept items in my bag and hid away. To this I was speechless and very upset. They hinted at my elderly friend too who was also puzzled at first trying to comprehend the words coming from these two shop assistants and then equally shocked at the comments. I was deeply shocked by this behaviour but kept calm and showed my bag which contained only the fabric I brought from home. As I was talking with the elderly shop assistant, the other shop assistant hid away and left the old lady to deal with this matter. The old lady was snappy, rude and didn't think she had done anything wrong to accuse us. We then left the store. I was upset and later had tears in my eyes for what I had just experienced. I am a qualified health care professional of asian ethnicity. I reached home and thought about the situation. They made no apology for their actions and rude accusatory behaviour. I felt targeted by two Caucasian ladies who had no evidence, but accused us of theft solely because I brought my own carrier bag. Whilst I am considerate of the old lady's age, does this make any sense or is this an indirect form of hate crime?
