We visit here quite often and this was our first visit since reopening, We booked our table for 2pm, we arrived a bit early but noticed that our table was taken and they had only just gone for their food so the table would not be available for our time slot, we were then shown to a table for 6 when there was only 2 of us,when...

I am very dissapointed that the recent refurb has got rid of the kids play area- this was the only pub with this facility in this area. For someone with a young family, this has changed the pub from a destination of choice into somewhere that isn't really suitable.

The Royal George is a large country pub serving a new menu packed with pub food favourites and seasonal specials from our delicious new menus.
Our bar is stocked with JW Lees cask ales, refreshing lagers and quality wines and spirits, perfect for enjoying with friends.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar area and outside and we’re family friendly
Our function space is available for hire, suitable for christenings, weddings, celebrations of life, birthday parties, meetings and anything else you can think of.
