I do most of my food shopping here, good value for money. Freezer section needs far more choices though.

Great selection of groceries at great prices. The middle aisle also gets really good stuff in, from craft bits to clothes/shoes to DIY tools and more.

Been in this store a couple of times and seen other reviews about people being charged for non existent items and now they've done me ! Called in a couple of days ago for a couple of bits and in the past I've always checked my receipt before I left but this time it was getting late n it was busy do i didn't. Got home unpacked my bag and looked at my receipt to find i'd been charged for a bottle of still mineral water i didn't buy ? When the cashier is scanning your items 1 by 1 over their scanner how the hell can something you haven't got get added to your bill ? If the water had been in my bag I could understand as they're over the conveyor belt so 1 could've toppled on. I knew it hadn't as I would've seen it when I packed the things into my bag and pointed it out there n then that it wasn't mine. I've never bought mineral water in my life and I never will. There's not much point in going in Lidl to save money when you're charged for an item you haven't had It wipes out what you've saved on the other items in your basket. I've included a photo of the non existent item. I probably won't shop here again now it was only 39p but that's not the point, I didn't buy it, it wasn't scanned by the cashier or sent down towards me where I packed my bag so I still don't understand how it's on there ? I'd urge other shoppers to check their receipts before they leave this or any other Lidl store !
