I am furious with this financial institution because I have applied for a saving account and twice, they were rejected. First time it was indeed my fault without reading the document certifying criteria, but the 2nd time, it was rejected on the ground of the copy of council tax certification was not correctly signed(?), also, the certifier didn?t state her job position. To me, this is an invalid excuse because I have crossed checked the copies I have, and my application was in place. The fact that it has taken Aldermore nearly 2 months to process the application, they have returned the copies for certification but without rejecting it in the first place, I then rang and because the fixed rates account was over subscribed! I can only suspect that Aldermore has taken the decision to reject some legitimate applications with some excuses, because Aldermore might be in financial difficulties when they come to payout when withdrawals happen in the near future!If this is the scenario, I?m glad that my application is rejected and I shall not pass on my money in the future to this institution!!!! I am now referring my case to the ombudsman/ fairtrade council and Matin Lewis, for a judgement of fairness!
