Not about the food as I didn?t actually come here (thank god) but this is a general complaint about the staff here. My 16 year old brother just phoned this branch enquiring about any job opportunities, including washing dishes or serving customers, he is only 16 but absolutely desperate to have the opportunity to work and thought that Bella Italia seemed an approachable and welcoming place to call up, he asked politely, but as soon as he asked a female member of staff put the phone down on him, completely ignoring his question and giving absolutely no response. Our mother called you again and was told by a male member of staff that there is no female staff that work there so therefore the incident with the female employee on the phone never happened and that we must be lying about it. I find this absolutely disgusting as, for one, I know for a fact you have multiple female employees at this branch, as one of them very clearly answered the phone and due to the fact I work at the Lowry and see multiple female members of staff there every single day. Also, completely understandable and fair enough if you have no jobs, but at least have the decency to tell him that and not just go silent and slam the phone down. Absolutely shameful and I will be taking this further. Also, all these calls have been recorded so please don?t attempt to deny it. Thank you.

It was okay...food OK, slow service. The waitress was lovely though, really trying her best.

Firstly the staff were amazing, very friendly and nothing was an inconvenience to them. My food arrived quickly and hot, my drinks arrived quickly and I never had to go dry mouthed. The food was incredible, especially the new Christmas pizza with baked camembert, I was moaning with joy haha. The passion fruit and raspberry semifreddo was also to die for. Overall everything was just amazing

This place was very popular; unfortunately, the food wasn't great, and the service could be improved. Hopefully, the restaurant will do what it can to turn things around.

Always a pleasure. We come here before going to the Lowry for shows, so usually book a table online for 12noon before the matinee at 2pm. We always manage to eat and drink in time, and have a leisurely walk across the plaza to the theatre. The food is always quick, hot and tasty, and we managed to get pudding and coffee in too!The only downside was that as a group of 4, we were on a tiny round table - but we managed just fine. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and we always comment on it

The place was nice and clean, it would do with some refresh, but that's not an issue. We got there during the lunchtime deal hours (unintentionally). Lasagna was fine 3/5, fromage pizza was ok. I ordered a simple ham and mushroom pizza, asked for a lot of mushrooms (extra) and this is what I got. I understand that it was a deal time and the prices were lower than usual but com'on! Served with cold blood. Fair enough.

Dropped in without a booking for a quick bite prior to a theatre event over the way. Prompt service, delicious food, and a blue light card discount. If you are in a hurry you can order and pay via a qr code system allocated to each table. Will definitely return if attending an event at The Lowry.Bravo!

Have had a few lovely meals pre theatre at this Bella Italia, food has been lovely each time and very reasonably priced especially the kids eat for a £1 deal. We have been served by Elizabeth on each occassion who has been a delight throughout, this evening we even goofed the order and she was very accommodating saying 'it happens'. Thank you all

Guter Kaffee - sehr nette Bedienung. Pizza not bad either. Good idea to offer half pizza and salad. The rest of the pizza tends to be cold anyway by the time you've finished it. One improvement I'd offer: the "background" music is fat too loud.

Food was really poor. Worst bruschetta I?ve ever seen - cherry tomatoes sliced in half on a piece of cheap garlic bread. Our mains were even worse. Runny, broken carbonara sauce that was completely tasteless. Other main tasted like a tin of tomatoes mixed with pasta. No flair, no taste, no presentation. Swapped it for a basic Margarita as I didn?t want to ruin the dinner for my girlfriend but pizza was also bad - overdone and bland. No check backs, staff seemed disinterested. Nothing Italian about this place. Save yourself from disappointment and enjoy the meal somewhere else.

Staff are great and very friendly. Our starters were nice (mushrooms & prawns). We both ordered risotto...the seafood and roasted butternut squash. Both dishes were really disappointing, it was such a shame...the rice looked like it had just been boiled in a bag...risotto usually has a creamy consistency...this was boiled rice with a few ingredients mixed in with it, definitely not a risotto...my butternut squash was boiled not roasted and the rosemary was undetectable.

We booked a table for 4 people for 5pm on 17th September 2023. This was to enable us to have a leisurely evening meal prior to going to a show at the Lowry Theatre. We were greeted by a very stressed looking waiter, possibly head waiter or manager. We asked for wine list and was told ? we only have one white wine?, thought this was a bit strange but ordered it. We then looked at the menu and made our choice. The waiter came back to us some time later and we ordered. The waiter returned to the table probably about 10 minutes later, 3 of my party had ordered chicken ( can?t remember exact name of dish) with sweet potato fries. He told us there was only 2 portions of this chicken left and no sweet potatoes fries, only spaghetti left. Reluctantly 2 of the party agreed to have this chicken with spaghetti, the third person had an alternate chicken dish. I ordered sea food pizza. There was another considerable wait before our starters arrived, mushrooms with a slice of garlic bread. The mushrooms were ok but the ?garlic bread? was just a slice of stale bread. We asked the waiter for another bottle of white wine ( by this time it was probably about 6.20pm). The waiter said ?I told you we only have one bottle of white wine?, amazed we realised that he had literally meant just ONE bottle of wine and not just no choice of white wine. He said we have some Rose? wine so we ordered a bottle of that. The food eventually arrived. The 3 chicken dishes looked very unappetising and appeared to have been ? thrown? on the plate, they were also not very hot. My sea food pizza, well, it had 3 prawns, 3 mussels and one piece of calamari about the size of a ten pence piece and was also cold! We discussed sending the food back but it was too late to go elsewhere prior to going to the theatre so we ate some of it and by this time it was nearly 7pm and time for us to make our way to the theatre. I really don?t know what was happening in this restaurant, it was not particularly crowded and people were arriving at various, staggered times. The outside eating area was not being used. The service was very slow and the food was appalling, needless to say it was not a ? good dining experience?. We have been to this restaurant on many occasions prior to going to the theatre, however, it will definitely not be our first choice in the future.

Food is very bland. Seasoning isn't standard. How you get spaghetti carbonara wrong is beyond me! Waited for 3/4 of an hour for our main whilst at least 5 tables, who arrived after us, were fed, watered and billed and left. Unbelievable. Complained to server, who shrugged his shoulders. Never

We were on a coach tour where we had been told to enjoy lunch at around 11.30 am before moving on to our next port of call. Tom was very understaffed to say the least, but he completely understood our problem and managed to fit us in and serve us with care, professionalism and humour. The food was delicious and we were easily finished by the time we had to return to our coach. So a huge ?thank you? to Tom, you are a real credit to your Company.
