“My son 42 has bipolar and agrophobia. He has been unable to go in a shop for 16 years. kev and Matt at the Manchester shop opened up early Sunday morning and let him browse the shop on his birthday. They got him a birthday cupcake and a card andmade him a coffee. They left him alone so he didn't feel anxious. He loves graphic novels and this is the first time his has been able to choose his own in a long time. In his card they invited him to come to the shop anytime he just needed a hour on his own. I can't thank them enough. It was wonderful seeing my son enjoy time out of the house. Thank you againAlison”

“It's a pleasure to go to Waterstones... there's a myriad of books, cards and gifts to choose from and the staff are kind and extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. This extends up to the first floor Cafe which serves delicious savoury food and cakes. There's the benefit of a lift too. What's not to love. ?”

“The best Waterstones I’ve been to in the U.K. in terms of size, stock, offering and layout. I loved the added touch of having a display of the employees favourite books and then the top selling tiktok sensations and so many great genre displays. The whole shop had a modern yet cosy feel which I really appreciated”

“I can't resist buying at least 1 book every time I go in Waterstones. Very well set out and feels spacious. The staff are always helpful, polite and friendly. They helped my daughter explore different types of books as she doesn't like books too girly or too boyish, any with horror in or factual. The gentleman was able to suggest a variety of books and says he's read them too.”

“I bought some rings in here and accidently left one behind, I then went into another shop and came out about 15 minutes later, the woman who served me then found me in the street and returned it to me about 30 minutes after I bought it, I was very grateful as I hadn't realised I'd left it behind. Very friendly and dedicated staff members.”

“Fantastic charity shop - some great bargains especially in the clothing sections. Actually feels more like a 'modern' vintage shop with a selection of all sorts with a big donation centre in the back.”

“Good for stationary, although slightly expensive there are things here that aren't available in other similar shops. I wish there was a better choice of books as it feels really like a really small selection, especially in the languages section.Good for the Panini cards too, cheap and easier than buying online.”
