Came here for my birthday meal and I wish I didn?t. Decor was lovely and the waiting staff were superb but the food was absolutely abysmal. My partner got carbonara for a stater which was literally spaghetti that was cut up with some scissors and bland. I got the burrata cheese which wasn?t burrata but what seemed to be just mozzarella as it wasn?t soft on the inside. Mains were tiny as we got lasagne that was burned and I got the crab linguine which was the most tasteless thing in the world. Even my fiancé tried it and said it was tasteless, this is coming from someone who hates sea food. This and a bottle of wine ended up costing us £88+ which included a 12% service charge. I wanted to complain but my partner had already paid and he didn?t want to make a fuss. Left hungry and dissatisfied. Not returning. Check your bills before you pay so you don?t get caught off with a not deserved tip

Good and atmosphere was great. Not the fastest service but was ok, we were conscious of time as we were heading to the theatre

We visited your restaurant for Sunday lunch and although customer wise, the restaurant was very quiet, the Sunday roast was very good . There was a mix up with our bill but it was quickly and professionally sorted out. We will definitely come again

It was mine and my husband first wedding anniversary, my husband has the Sunday roast, he said it was the best one he's ever had.i had carbanara which was delicious. The staff was so friendly and kind made us feel so welcome and relaxed. After dinner the lovely waitress came over with a sharing plate of dessert with Happy Anniversary on. It was so unexpected and a lovely surprise. Thank you and we will be back very soon.

We booked for my dear friend's birthday and had a lovely time. I had the duck and a side of tender stem broccoli and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. I would also recommend the dough balls as a starter. The interior is very beautiful also. Definitely will be returning.

This was all round a very poor experience there are far better restaurants to go to in Manchester, so this is best avoided. Service was extremely slow (we had to chase the server to get any orders taken - of food or drink - and when it arrived it wasn't worth the wait. Food generally very average. And over-priced for what you get - the "panzanella" i had for a starter was nothing short of a joke. A tiny portion, hardly befitting a starter. The main courses were small and poorly overcooked. One to check with the management if you bother to visit this place, but I've seen reviews saying that, if pressed the manager will say that the food is not actually cooked at the restaurant but comes from a central kitchen. I don't know for sure but can well believe it, given the poor quality of the food. Anyway, it doesn't matter why this is overpriced and not very good, it just is (and shouldn't be). So embarrassed to have had special guests to entertain at a restaurant that is now clearly run by accountants rather than cooks. We won?t be returning. Suggest if you want a pizza/pasta meal go to one of the chain restaurants like Pizza Express, and if you want a "good quality Italian meal then go somewhere that actually lives up to its billing, like San Marco or Piccolino

We went to Gusto as part of my graduation celebrations and we were not disappointed! The service, the food, and the environment was wonderful and we really enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately I forgot the names of those who serviced us but they were all a joy and incredibly helpful. The food was also immaculate with there being plenty of choice available for the set graduation menu (3 course meal as well as a complimentary drink for the graduand). I will definitely be coming back for future celebrations!

I booked a table online last minute to celebrate my daughter?s graduation. I wish I had read the reviews first! We were a party of 5 friends and family and only one of us said the food was ok! I had the Prosecco ravioli with chicken which was incredibly dry. The 3 small pieces of chicken were so dry they were difficult to chew and the risotto itself was so solid that it could be cut into wedges!! It was basically just a lump of rice, no inclusion of any veg so very bland and boring. My daughter had the lasagna which was such a small portion with only a bit of lasagna sheet on bottom and top. I thought lasagna was layers of pasta and meat?! I would also say that it definitely wasn?t an adult portion, more child sized. My husband had a burger and said that he could have got better from Macdonalds! The chips were burnt and hard and the burger itself was tiny. When I asked for the bill it came with an added service charge of 12.5% which added almost £18 to our bill taking the total cost up to £161.00!!! I was going to ask for it to be taken off but my son asked me to not cause a fuss. We will never visit Gusto again. There are many fabulous restaurants nearby that I would much rather support

We arrived early for a family dinner and was ignored at the bar for 10 minutes until we raised our voices to get served. Once seated we were told that we all had to to choose the £35 set menu or all had to choose the al la carte menu, they could not mix and it was all or nothing? very surprising indeed. Garlic bread pizza starter was fine , fried aubergines poor and were just mush. Lasagne was a child?s portion size for £15 , pasta was tasteless , burger was ok but nothing special . I can not comment on other members of our groups meals but based on our experience the food was nothing special and the bar service was really poor. I would not recommend or return here any time soon.

Used to be one of our go-to restaurants. Went recently for Mothers Day and it wasn?t great, to say the least. Gave it the benefit of the doubt as it was such a busy day. Returned today with friends. Food generally very average. However, the £15 lasagne was nothing short of a joke. A tiny portion, hardly befitting a starter. Complained to the manager who decided to defend the measly rations by explaining that the portions arrived on site, pre-made via a central kitchen. Really?! Unbelievable. So embarrassed to have introduced our friends to somewhere which is now clearly run by accountants rather than cooks. We won?t be returning.
