I recently scheduled a car service appointment at Halfords in Manchester during my short visit to the area. Unfortunately, my appointment was abruptly canceled, citing my car's weight as the reason. Never heard anything so silly from a garageThis unexpected cancellation disrupted my plans and caused considerable inconvenience during my limited stay.The lack of accommodation for my appointment and the subsequent cancellation without a suitable resolution was disappointing. It not only affected my schedule but also added unnecessary stress to my visit.I hope that Halfords can improve their appointment scheduling process to avoid inconveniencing customers in similar situations. While I appreciate their services, this experience fell far short of my expectations.I urge Halfords to reevaluate their procedures and ensure better customer service to prevent such disappointments in the future.

Used them twice so far, the guys seem friendly. Really happy with the tyre work they did the first time after a bad experience elsewhere and for the most recent visit a couple of days ago had the pleasure of having Dean look over my car, ever since it's been a smooth drive and I can feel the difference. Really happy to know I've found a garage near me that I have confidence in.

I booked in over the phone 2 weeks ago and when I turned up, they said I had no booking. You can imagine how frustrated that is - having to book time off work (especially if you do not get many days off). At first they said it could be booked in another shop. It was only till I kept going backwards and forwards confirming the name of the person I spoke to over the phone, time and date and I was there on time. I was then told by the manager that actually there was no booking anywhere else and we can do next week. However, not one single apology or trying to investigate further who or why take bookings over the phone if you will not record it. It was dismissive - ?not my problem? kind of behavior. Well it is your fault! Zero accountability. Unfortunately this is my second negative interaction with the team. I can honestly say if you want to be disappointed from a customer service point of view, definitely come here. I have not tried any of their services so cannot comment on that.

Rip you off if you are a female. Used to be good garage and I have been for few MOTs but after the last disaster never been back. My mot failed, quoted me ridiculous amount for changing exhaust. Got it repaired elsewhere.Booked in back with Halfords for retest. I dropped my car off the same guy that did my mot in the first place (and rebooked my retest), he then rings me half an hour later to say I need pay for my mot again as it was more than a week! It wasn't, and he was the one who booked the retest so if that was the case he should have mentioned that over the phone! Picked my car up and went elsewhere. Never again.

Had an excellent experience here on Sunday thanks to Connor and Nathan. Needed a tyre change due to a puncture as was on the way to visit my 96 year old grandma and they got it sorted within 20 minutes and we were back on the road. Very friendly and helpful service on a Sunday morning to! Would recommend.Service: Tires

I handed my car in for a diagnostics report only. my car was there for 4 hours just to say they can't give me a diagnostic report because they can't fix it doesn't make any sense. Now I need to book somewhere else and wait another 4 days I. ??

Have been a few times before and always adequate.Took car in for MOT and service and given a long list of advisories. Asked for headlight bulbs to be replaced and a new tyre fitted. Also charged me for a filter change which I had asked them not to do and a fuel efficiency thing which nobody had mentioned to me.At best just incompetent doing things they weren?t meant to and at worst deliberately trying to rip you off and hope you won?t notice.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I would give 0 stars if I could. Broke a TPMS sensor during a tyre change, refused to acknowledge it was broken despite the warning light and a flapping sound. Insisted nothing was wrong and when pushed back on was told they didn't know how to fix it, that I should take the car to the dealership. Upon taking it to the dealership it was (unsurprisingly) revealed that indeed the sensor was broken after the tyre change and it cost me more than £200 to have it replaced. Safe to say I will never be a Halfords customer again given the lies and shoddy service received.

I have been quoted 500£ only to replace a condenser for my van and the condenser it's cost only 100 ish.....a bit exaggerated I could say.

I had my car MOT and service here twice so far and it was all good. No issues.
