My last experience with Halford Swinton is not great. Booked my car service as I heard noises from the front wheels. I was told it?s wheel bearing, I accepted the replacement for £334.When I collected my car I specifically asked if that was the problem and if everything else is fine with the car.As soon I started driving I noticed the noise has been even louder so I returned the car to the service next day. So my car was again all day in the garage and when I received call I was told that there is no noise and everything is fine I wasn?t recommended to keep driving the car for longer until these issues will get worse so it?s easier for them to specify what is wrong with my car. I went to another service to be told that the wheel bearing was replaced on the wrong side of the car. I am very disappointed with Halfords charging me £334 for the wrong job.

Really kind mechanic helped check over my car and gave me advice. No charge. Helped fix my wiper blades so I could safely go back on motorway.

Everything was good until I was quoted £111 fitted for a tiny little battery for a Hyundai i10. Add to that the battery wasn't in stock and would have involved a 90 minute wait. Instead I bought one for £73 elsewhere. The guys were good though.

Really helpful, had damaged headlights and they were very kind to check the problem first before making any changes. Really quick to fix the problem!

In and out within in hour for a battery change on a Ford Kuga. Not quite as quick as Scania Normanton but they do have to dismantle most of the car to gain access to the battery! Hey that's a Ford Kuga for ya!Look at my other reviews to see where I've been!

Appalling customer service.Took my car over to enquire about replacing a headlight bulb, they explained they were too busy to fit me in that day and to bring in back the following morning.I went back the following morning, and was told that they were too busy again. I explained that I had been told to bring it back yesterday, first thing this morning. The ?gentleman? more or less accused me of lying claiming that he was the only one in yesterday and he didn?t say that. Granted he personally didn?t but another colleague did.He was rude and self righteous.

Ordered online. Arrived for fitting on time. Tyres fitted within 30 minutes. Steve on reception nice bloke. Local Halfords well done fellas. Some places are arrogant and off putting. Enjoy your Christmas all the best to the team there!

I have had my car serviced the second time from this branch was hoping everything to be great, after receiving my car upon full service and mot for which I had paid alot of money, saw that my car keys were damaged and I was told that "this is normal wear and tear and the technician has just been unlucky" instead of taking responsibility or offering a solution this is the answer I was given. Iam sorry to say that iam very deeply disappointed that there was no customer care present.This is an update about the reply I was given over this review to contact customer care. I have done that and its now nearly been 2 weeks and I haven't had a single response, this adds to how valued the customers are, they reply on the reviews but not to anything after that, stay away!

Go here for MOT and Service. Know price up front and inform you of any issues keep extras to minimum and generally advisory so can be done at later date.

If you have to go here due to other places being closed it's fine. As you would expect.Need something very general, they probably stock it. Not great for anything specific

I recently had the misfortune of visiting the Halfords Autocentre in Swinton, and I must say it was an utterly dreadful experience. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the staff lacked basic customer service skills and common courtesy.Firstly, their attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Instead of greeting me with a welcoming demeanor, I was met with disdainful glares and condescending remarks. It felt as though they had no interest in assisting me or addressing my concerns.To make matters worse, the quality of their work was abysmal. I entrusted them with a simple job, but they managed to mess it up entirely. The repairs were haphazardly executed, and it was evident that little care or attention to detail had been taken. It was as if they were rushing through the job without any regard for the customer's satisfaction.When I approached the staff to discuss the substandard workmanship, I was met with an astonishing level of indifference. They not only dismissed my concerns but went as far as suggesting that if I wasn't satisfied, they could take the job apart and essentially leave me to deal with the consequences. Such a response is not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful to a paying customer.The overall experience at Halfords Autocentre in Swinton left me feeling frustrated and incredibly disappointed. It is truly disheartening to encounter a business that disregards the importance of customer service and fails to deliver on its promises.I strongly advise anyone considering using Halfords Autocentre in Swinton to think twice. The unhelpful and rude staff, coupled with their lackluster workmanship, make this establishment a complete and utter disappointment. Spare yourself the trouble and seek out a more reputable and customer-focused automotive service provider.
