Good location, well served by transport. The rooms are spacious and clean: small downside on the mattress which is a little too soft for my taste.

No fresh air- Hard, cheap beds- Cheap duvets.- Not enough fresh air when aircon off. Can?t open the windows in any room. Only airflow is from the gap under the doors. Bonus points if you get a sinus infection from the A/C like I did.- No toiletries in the room in the room except bottles of hand wash/shampoo/conditioner. (Yes I know you can schlep downstairs to ask for them)- Suite faced the trams so the deep rumbling keeps you awake. Earplugs won?t help. Bad interior soundproofing too- WiFi extremely slow.- Room door had a bit of a malfunction and the first response from staff was ?maintenance have gone? then an offer of the front desk staff to come take a look as if they?re doing me a favour.- Staff have no sense of professionalism

Couple of staff from reception are arrogant and uneducated. I belive they at least have to give greetings when the customer says "hi" to you and not to ignore. Didn't you learn in your preschool?Rooms are pretty well organized and some other staff are helpful and fabulous, but this sauvage hair lady with glasses and bald guy ruined my stay. Come on, you are engaged in a hospitality industry. You better be more professional. This was on 22 Feb.

The Hotel is located at the heart of Manchester city. Very beautiful hotel with professional Crew's. But i experienced their receptionist's are quiet unhelpful and sometimes its horrible too which is a unmatched experience through my Holiday Inn hotel journey.

My friend and I went to the Holiday Inn for Afternoon Tea on Saturday and it was dire to say the least! The staff were nice but the service was really slow. I asked about the Prosecco which was part of the deal on Groupon and was told they don't do that anymore?. They brought the sandwiches etc first and then later the so called cakes. My friend is a Pescitarian and got less than me. The best part was the chips. The cakes consisted of a very small scones, 3 this pieces of Meringue and a slice of plain cake with a piece of strawberry on top. We have been to the Midland Hotel twice, the Piccadilly Hotel, 2 different Slug & Lettuce bars and 2 Revolution Bars in Manchester. They were all far superior and much better quality. The cakes at all the others were delicious. Our advice would be don't go to the Holiday Inn its absolutely abysmal.Food & drinks: Afternoon tea is a joke! Avoid it and go somewhere else!

Great room. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant.Rooms: Lovely room. Clean & tidy.Food & drinks: The restaurant is essentially just a bar. Had to wait for half an hour just to be served. The mains are really small - consider getting two if you're hungry. My main was served to me in a box with disposable cutlery.

Great location within 5 minutes walk of the train station and walkable to most other places in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, plenty on hand all the time. Event space was big and staff on hand to help with whatever was needed.Food at the restaurant was alright on par with standard pub food, a little pricey for what you got. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection although the coffee wasn't great. At the event I was attending the three course meal was presented well but not great, two bland courses and a very good brownie. The room was a good size with everything you'd expect yet I'll never understand why all hotels don't all have smart TVs yet with streaming capabilities. There were a few hairs I had to brush off the bed so not sure about cleanliness ?.
