Like most of the chemists in the area now. Rude with zero customer service skills. How times have changed, remember when your local pharmacist would talk about your issues and knew you. A whole new 'culture' these days.

I did my pre reg pharmacist training with this company's branch in Bolton.Prior to this I had passed all my exams and been awarded Masters degree in Pharmacy.I worked hard and followed the training manuals. I completed and passed all the competencies for training. This is the criteria set out by the authoritative regulatory body of Pharmacy in the UK in order to pass a trainee as 'competent' enough to then proceed to the final exam. However here the pharmacist for some reason did not pass me, which in turn more or less ended my pharmacy career before it started....The reason, to deny me a career as a pharmacist, they gave was because (allegedly) my English communication skills were not good enough to be a pharmacist.... and I needed more experience. In majority of cases a Pharmacist isn't exactly a public speaking job. Alot of pharmacists I've met hardly talked while working with them and communication with patients is structured, artificial and to the point: What are your symptoms, have you tried anything, are you on any other medication.. Many foreign pharmacists who work in the work have poor English, it doesn't stop them from working. So it isn't really a valid reason to fail someone.Training there was basic, I was worked as an over qualified dispenser. Which is common in a lot of community pharmacies even though the tutors are paid thousands to actually train you to be a pharmacist and pass the last exam. But instead the focus was on speed (fast faster) and sticking bag labels exactly straight. It was never really that busy in the shop max 3- 5 people waiting so there was no need to rush and miss chances to double check and look things up. At one point one of the owners relatives came in and towered over me and whispered "You poor beggar" in his language.... Which wasn't very motivating to say the least.Furthermore apart from myself no one really looked into this dispute, no apologies, no compensation no justice...

For a couple of years I had been collecting medication from here with no issue. This week they refused to accept the delivery even though I had checked in advance. I have also collected prescriptions from here arranged by my doctor. I will pay for my prescriptions elsewhere in future.

Useless! Close whenever they feel like it. Don't stock half the meds any other pharmacy does. Do yourself a favour and use a reputable local chemist instead of these timewasters.

Prescriptions never ready on time and incorrect medication given out far too often. Simply not good enough.
