Nice location next to Tim Hortons.Lidl baked products are fresh and fantastic.Great with coffee and hugely better priced doughnuts than Tim's overpriced nonsense.I often buy ketchup here before going into Tim's,( 70p for a huge bottle compared to 50p for a tiny dip. )Leave the bottle on the table for others to share.

Shop was good, but some people outside were protesting about Lidl's chickens. Grim stuff!

Very good local supermarket for the people and students who are in Manchester University

Some protestors were highlighting Lidl's terrible treatment of chickens when I went to the store the other day - I turned around and located the nearest M&S instead, who have apparently adopted a decent chicken welfare policy called the Better Chicken Commitment!

Was concerned to find out from a protest recently that Lidl is selling Frankenchickens and that the leadership won't commit to end this cruelty. It's not right, and I'd rather shop somewhere where they don't put profits over animal welfare.

After speaking with some nice people outside the store, I was very shocked to learn of the cruelty to animals in Lidl's supply chain. The chickens they use are Frankenchickens, a breed selected to grow unnaturally fast, which means they can't support their own weight, suffer from broken limbs and are forced to lay in their own waste which burns their skin. Lidl could do better but choose to keep ignoring any requests to improve.

I've been a loyal Lidl customer for about 7 years. I was recently shopping at this location and encountered an animal welfare organisation who educated me on Lidl's appalling standards for the chickens it sources to sell in store as meat. I found this to be absolutely appalling and utterly callous. Lidl - you treat these chickens horrendously, please start sourcing your meats in a kinder and more ethical way. Lidl shoppers do not want to participate in animal cruelty in any respect.

I was visiting family in the area and popped in for supplies but saw some protesters lined up outside. I spoke to one of them to find out more. I was appalled by what they told me. The chickens sold here at this branch are Frankenchickens! These grow so fast they get sick, and often cannot stand as their bodies aren't developed enough to cope. Quite appalling in this day and age! They mentioned the Better Chicken Commitment, which would mark the end of this misery. Why won't you sign it?

Have been a loyal customer at this Lidl for years, but after speaking to protestors outside your Lidl stores about the incredibly cruel conditions you house your chickens in I can no longer bring myself to shop here. Do better Lidl, adopt the BCC today!

Came here for some shopping and bumped into a bunch of protesters who highlighted Lidl's poor treatment of chickens in their supply chain and refusal to sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment. Needless to say I won't be shopping here again and will be telling friends and family not to until Lidl get their act together and care about chickens.

I was horrified and deeply distressed to be shown images of how Lidl's chicken farms looked, by some very friendly people who were educating us. I'm so upset I've struggled to get to sleep. Everyone, I urge you to google "Frankenchickens" to see what they do to these innocent beings!
