“We have visited Reserve many times, but this time, we were visiting for a special event, a tasting event where they teamed up with The Great Kathmandu. Held at the restaurant itself. We were served 4 delicious taster meals, with a different wine to go with each one. First up was a chicken Momo. Paired with Baccharis cava brut. A lovely light cava that went perfectly with the delicately spiced momo. Next, we had Makhan Chara. Paired with Libiam, "La Rifra" Lugana. The food eas delicious, gorgeous buttery sauce. Complimented perfectly with the Lugana. Great combo. Third was Lamb Chwela. Paired with Uva Non Grata, Gamay. This is a spicy dish, toned down so as not to overpower the wine. The wine was slightly cooled and cut through the spice perfectly. Really enjoyed the two together. I love spice, so perfect. Last but not least was lamb methi. A deliciously herby curry. Could eat it all night. Paired with Siegel single vineyard cabernet sauvignon. This was a full-bodied wine that went so well with the curry. I could imagine finishing this wine in front of an open fire. We were lucky enough to have the owners join us, including the founder who has been there since 1986! Gavin from Reserve was fabulous as well. Perfectly chosen wine to go with the food. A lot of thought had clearly gone into it.”

“Wow ,, I love this Shop - if your a whisky lover this is the place for you. Oddly enough I’ve never bought anything from here for myself - tend to buy gifts ,, everyone loves a Bottle from Here.Broke with tradition and wandered in last week - treated myself to a bottle of my favourite Malt and yes I know - I can get it cheaper elsewhere but why not.I think this place is more for the true connoisseur really with a huge range of wonderful bottles at some quite incredible prices.I’ve never felt hassled in the shop ,, the Staff let you browse at leisure which I like and come to your aid when you need them - it’s a wonderful Shop & a must visit.”

“M&S food is just like the adverts and some say its costly when actually you get really good deals and prices similar to sainsburys and Tescos. Some may think it's sheer snobbery but you will be surprised at how cheap some items are. Staff are always very friendly and polite. It's all self service checkout but staff are always on hand. If you are a tech geek you can download the app and shop as you go and then walk out. Could call is posh shop lifting or feel like a scouser ( I am one! ) but still leave without paying but you have paid. If that makes sense. It is 0630! It's also open late which is a bonus especially on a Sunday.”

“Always open ...love the new refurb...I don't bother going to all the other little shops anymore for bread milk as this shop sells a wide range of products, especially today Easter Sunday if you have forgotten something... Never a staff problem...they all have a dry tongue in cheek sense of humour... They communicate with the locals of s similar ilk”

“No prices on any of the off-licence products. The guy was getting annoyed with me because I was asking how much larger packs of beer cost. I only just moved to the area and found them not very customer friendly, and every time I have been in the shop, they are talking on the phone. Website said promotion packs of 10x cans Carlsberg Export £10 or two packs £16 but the shop said they didn't do the promotion. Reluctantly went in again a few weeks later as I really fancied some Thatchers cider on ice. Checked on line for the Price and found again the product on promotion, went to the shop and told yet again "we don't do the promotion" Busy(ish) small shop, nobody wearing face masks, nobody told to wear a mask. No hand sanitation on entry. Not a good business. *UP DATE* after living in the area for some months, discovered that the shop, staff and owners, very friendly, nice people.”

“I often come in to this shop due to it's handy location near the train station. It has a good mix of pre-prepared and ready to cook food, as well as other products expected of a small convenience store. Good range of drinks and snacks for my regular commute home too, and usually quick to pay thanks to many self-service tills in operation. Nice, chatty and helpful staff, especially Niall. Much appreciated!”

“Who didn't love M&S food? I bought some of their value range biscuits recently, and honestly, they were the best Jammie Dodger and Bourbon biscuits I've ever tasted.”

“Marks and Spencer Simply Food at Manchester Fort is a rather large location, considering this is just an M&S Simply Food location, it features a nice selection of groceries as well as additional facilities including toilets and a Cafe. Due to being in a retail park, there's plenty of free parking right outside the store, which is a benefit compared to their larger store in Manchester city centre, which only has paid parking. The store was tidy and easy to follow, and had a good selection of products, while the store may not have had as extensive a selection (and eco-credentials) as the Manchester Market Street store nearby, it makes a good alternative in the Cheetham Hill area. The staff seemed friendly enough and happy to help. 4*”
