Certainly a prestigious hotel, but with very glaring flaws in my opinion. First of all, there is no light in the rooms: no central light from the ceiling, only diffused lights from lampshades, a gloomy and dark atmosphere. The windows are not enough in the perennial gray of Manchester and especially in the evening. Then there is no heating in the bathroom, the stones and tiles with which it is covered leave the room cold. Again in the bathroom, there is no support on which to place the towels you are using, no hanger, no bar; the toiletry products are not complete, there is a lack of body cream, and it is not enough to have shower and shampoo bottles hanging in the tub, and in any case they do not restore the shower cap every day. Room cleaning does not take place in the morning but even after 3.30 pm, with the excuse that priority is given to rooms left free after checkout. Typically English food, but very spicy with an Indian flavour. The rest ok, friendly and helpful staff.Other quick findings: slippers not provided, no bidet (obviously in the UK), room frozen on arrival, cold rooms in general, TV only English channels, no satellite, TV set on the wall to the right of the bed, stiff neck guaranteed. Good and correct prices

Rooms are very comfortable, closest a hotel has felt to a home. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were great.

This wasn't a good experience, I really had high expectations from the Marriott group.

An old mill by the ship canal that has been very nicely turned into a hotel. It has an easy entrance for the halls round the back, food is good and the breakfast better than most. Rooms are clean and well laid out, staff really helpful. Parking not great, about eight spaces and very few seemed empty. NCP around the corner is very expensive even with the reduction offered by the hotel. But the hotel is warm and really loved the way the old mill has been treated.Rooms: The room was large and had a great feel to it. Good sized bathroom. Only thing I had was being six foot so the shower was a little short so had to bend down.

One of my favourite places I've ever stayed. It's a very nice location and rooms don't feel like your typical hotel rooms, rather a bit like a cabin, with its low ceilings, wood rafters and exposed brickwork. The room was tastefully designed and bathroom was of a decent size.
