Fantastic coffee and a lovely vibe. Almond croissant is stunning, chocolate maybe not the best choice.

Incredible bakery, average coffee, sub-par service. Pollen does the best bread but you can get better coffee from Just Between Friends in Ancoats. Pollen always passes the vibe check though as it?s always full of friendly locals and their cute puppies! ?Parking: The closest parking is free street parking but spots are incredibly hard to find.Wheelchair accessibility: There?s no steps to enter the building and to get to Pollen from street level, there is a ramp (in addition to the stairs) which lead down to the marina

Soooo good, freshly baked goods daily, what else do you want.Everything we tried was delicious pastry?s nice and flaky.Cakes deliciously rich in flavour and moist.Salmon on toast fresh from the kitchen, really really yummy and also plated very nicely.Everything as expected ?.Massive queue on the weekend we went but kind of expected that.Took some cookies for the train journey home which I was soooo happy to have while sitting in a full and stuffy train.

We asked for a table and were told there would be a wait of up to 30 mins. No problem. After waiting we saw that there was a free table through the window so we asked the same member of staff if we could take it. They said yes but that the kitchen was now closed and they had sold out of cakes. We asked why they had kept us waiting if they no longer had any food available and they weren't apologetic at all. Just terrible service.Normally the service isn't great but today was appalling.

Today I had my worst experience at Pollen yet. I've been there several times and the service is always apalling, but the pastries are good so I keep coming back. Today, the staff at Pollen crossed a line.We came in, asked about a table inside for lunch. We were told we'd be signed into a list and we gave our name. We were told it would be about a 30' wait and they'd call us.After 30 minutes we asked about our table to the same member of staff. She said there were a few tables available, but the kitchen had closed and they had sold out their cakes. She had us waiting in the cold for 30 minutes for absolutely no reason whatsoever. We asked her why she didnt say anything. She said she didn't know when the kitchen would close. We asked her why she didn't tell us when the kitchen closed, she shrugged. We asked her if she realised she'd made us wait hungry in the cold for 30 minutes for no reason, she shrugged again ans walked away. This is definitely the last straw for us and we will be taking this up to management. If management is reading this review and wondering who this was, it was the thin tall lady with curly hair and tons of acne.

Positives: 1) Very good pastries (croissants and pain au chocolate), 2) good coffee, 3) also recommended trying the cheesecake. 4) despite being full, the waiter gave us the menus and took or orders very quickly.Negatives: 1) the hour long queue barely makes it worth it. The couple in front of us got a table inside when they didn't even wanted one. 2) do not recommend the matcha cookie, tasted like it was brought from the store, 3) seats are not comfortable, 4) coffees are good but very small. 5) there was no sausages, salmon and a few other things the day we visited due to an order fault which the waiter told us straight away. 6) bathroom was out of order

One of the best places in Manchester for brunch, the food is delicious and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. The fresh bread makes the difference. The environment is good, also the friendly staff is always there for recommendations.

Went there on a Saturday morning. People were in a long queue but since we were dining in, there were plenty of tables. I really liked the hash brown bun thing. For me the latte with caramel syrup wasn?t sweet enough for me that i had to ask for extra sugar. But my partner said it was the best cappuccino knowing how many cafes and bakeries we went to. Price was affordable too. Worth the visit xx
