If you're thinking of choosing between the First Street Pure Gym or Spinningfields Pure Gym then Spinning field wins; more spacious, more machines, more variety and small things like sanitizer and tissue available for wipe down. I went at 2:30pm, lots of machines available and no waiting around. First street seems to have a bigger student clientele, Spinningfields - Manchester city workers vibe. All good, air conditioned, clean.

Have been training with pt Meg for the past 6 months and the experience is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. She?s been a professional trainer as always and also a good friend to joke around. When I came to her in Sep I wanted particular training on my back n posture; it?s been half a year now and the result is astonishing. I?ve developed good muscle and there?s no more back pain from bad posture. I definitely recommend Meg if you are looking for a personal trainer.

The music is too loud which is bad for me because i'm autistic, and have adhd. The lights are too bright (but i understand why this is, so i don't mind)The air conditioning is not up to scratch when you have the smell of aerosol deodorant and BO in the air. . Why not ban them and encourage people to use roll- on deoderant!?As someone with asthma and a condition called Pectus Excavatum (which puts pressure on my lungs and heart) then this is actually dangerous for me to be in a place full of chemicalsThe locker room is even worse.I would jog outside but the pollution obviously is horrendous, unless you find a forest somewhere!!Moan over...

Large gym, plenty of equipment and staff floating around. Very busy at lunchtimes and after work. A negative?which understand is personal?the large number of women wearing very revealing gym wear. I find it completely inappropriate and quite frankly, embarrassing. Aside from that, decent gym.

Big gym with many machines but the big problem is the cleaning, especially the male changing room always stinks very bad, even yesterday that it was Monday so first day of the week, how is it possible that a place smells so bad ? It was so disgusting that I even refused to use the sinks for washing my hands, which it is something bad considering that covid cases are still happening. You could even tell from the state of the floor that the places has not been cleaned

Awful gym, air conditioning not working, there is never but never soap in the toilets. Just a mess of a gym. Cancelling my membership, will try JD

I have only been attending Chris? cycle class the past 2 weeks and I?ve been enjoying it so much! Chris has been great getting me motivated and making a class that was so daunting to me so enjoyable!

I think this is a pretty good gym but it is hard to find sprays and paper towels to clean equipment (unhygienic). The dumbbells are not organised correctly and it seems that the soap dispensers in the male changing rooms are often empty.EDIT - The taps in the male changing rooms also have no hot water!

The last period The water system is always broken, and when they fix it, it takes no time and it breaks down, and by the way, it is not free. The gym equipment is very modest considering its excellent location

The gym is very convenient for the before work workout but even better the range of lunchtime classes gives me that extra 30 minute workout with high energy and great music.
