I was shocked to observe the behaviour of the manager in the Sue Ryder shop, the other day. She glared at a paying customer and completely humiliated him by accusing him of buying something to sell on at an inflated price. All the customers in the shop felt really uncomfortable, made me not want to return to shop or to donate anything in the future

I?ve been donating to this particular Sue Ryder store for 2 years, sadly today was my last donation. The store closes at 4:30, I came in at 3:52pm with three small a bags full of good quality clothes for donation. The clerk informed me if I wanted to donate clothes I would need to do this in between 12 - 3pm (information that I wasn?t aware of). I apologised and said in future I would adhere to this donation timeframe. The clerk went on to add ?if someone dumped a load of work on you just as you were about to leave work I don?t think you?d be happy about it?. Overall making me feel like my donation was a burden.

Rather over priced for a charity shop, in my opinion. Better to give the shopper value for money and in turn increase the turn over. Several items on sale would be cheaper new

What a great shop! Since I moved to the area some 4 years ago, I have shopped and donated at the shop. Such an amazing selection of "stuff" vintage, retro just really interesting. So impressed that I now volunteer there on a regular basis. Couldn't be a better place to work, busy, great customers and a fabulous supportive staff team. Never worked in retail but given training by the management team and feel confident in my role there. We all get along well, its a fun place to be so if you have time on your hands.....call in. Always a friendly face there.

Well, where do i start. This shop used to be really good, but me and my friends usual boycott this shop now.Its not the same at all, looks really scruffy most days, and rails empty. They have a new assistant manager who is so rude, and forget customer service with him....and he treated my friends mum who was an elderly volunteer discracefully!!!The only good point, is the blonde lady think she is called Bev, very friendly and without support keeps a few regular customers returning.Sort this out head office.

That made no sense: we werenâ??t randomly wrestling/wrangling furniture, obviously, but, in English, Stephen spent a very long time, and put in a lot of effort, to dismantle the piece of furniture Iâ??d bought so that I could load it up and take it home. Theyâ??re really helpful.

I love charity shops but this one in particular has an especially eclectic mixture of good quality retro items. They usually sell furniture in here as well.
