Never been here before, and what have I been missing, the food was lovely from the starter to the main, I was stuffed by the time we had finished, we had from the Christmas menu, 3 courses, will definitely go a zizzi again.

We picked zizis because you usually know what you?re going to get, decent food etc. The exception to that is the Manchester Piccadilly Zizis. The waitress was miserable as soon as we entered and she sat us down. We ordered drinks and those drinks proceeded to sit on the bar for about 15 minutes and would have done for longer had we not have flagged someone down and asked them (the place wasn?t busy and three waiters had walked past them numerous times, one even moved them out the way to place his dirty glasses down). When taking our food orders we stated to the waitress we wernt sure if we were doing the festive menu so we only ordered starters and mains both of which were on the main menu and the festive menu, she said this was okay. The food came in good time, the mozerella bomb was decent however the chorizo carbonara was awful, no taste, luke warm and unappealing- did not eat it. After the mains we decided not to opt for dessert and to ask for the bill. To our shock we were told no we could not do this as the waitress had already put through on her tablet that we were doing the festive menu therefore we had already been charged and they could not change it?? What? I questioned this, asking so I have to order a dessert that I do not want and did not ask for prior? The answer was yes and apparently there was nothing they could do we had to either pay the money for the three course festive menu even though we only ate two or we had to order a dessert we did not want. This was absolutely ridiculous and the waitress and manager were rude and unhelpful. How can they expect you to pay for something you have not eaten or ordered? I do not like making a scene in a restaurant so after realising I wasn?t getting anywhere with the staff we just ordered the desserts which we did not want and barely ate. I think this was disgusting service from the staff, and their fault completely. If someone does not order the three courses then why put them through on the system then tell customers they have to order three courses? Will not be returning to Zizis after this experience and hope this does not happen to anyone else as it just ruined our evening.

Food arrived very cold and then questioned when the plate felt barely warm. If you eat it and it's cold then its cold!Complete nightmare performance to order food as they expect you to do it on a mobile phone.Why have staff if they don't do the job of looking after customers when paying for the privilege.

The owners should consider more staff, as the people working when we were there were clearly rushed off their feet. One of our drinks was forgotten and took 15 mins to arrive AFTER we prompted them. They also didn't ask how our meal was, and didn't ask us about deserts. We also had to chase someone to get them to take payment.I don't blame the staff, who were all doing their best, their bosses need to provide more help.

Nice chain restaurant, but they need to keep the cold air from the open door from the tables (we had to ask to be moved away).Also, if you have a daughter like mine, do not label a button on the fire alarm panel "Evacuate" and expect nothing to happen.

Host at door quickly got us a table however took longer than expected to be served. It was quite busy to be fair and when food finally arrived it was wrong. I believe it was a manager who came up to us right away to apologise and good recovery by taking one of the mains off our bill. I would've give 2 had it not been for this lady's good customer service and initiative.

Visited this place for dinner on a Monday. We ordered a portion of garlic bread, smoked mushroom risotto and smoked salmon with fresh prawns hand made pasta. The food was excellent. The portion size was very good and so was the pricing. However, i felt the service from the kitchen was a little slow as the restaurant wasn't very busy and had three staff in FOH and 2 in the kitchen. But nevermind, will still visit again next time to try some pizzas and tiramisu.

Just about what can be expected from a chain restaurant. The food is average but the service and cleanliness is what lets this place down the most.Understaffed on a weekend lunch time which means that tables stay dirty, drinks take an age to be made& long wait to get any service.So many better places to go for Italian food nearby!

First time at zizi a couple weeks back, service was excellent, food was great, other than the dessert which I didn't eat, but they took this off the bill without me asking and wouldn't let me pay for this. Place is beautiful as

To be fair the place was very busy. We arrived at 16.35 and did not get our mains until 17.55. We shared a garlic bread starter.I had to pay £1.75 to have 8 olives on my pizza, £1.75 for 6 meatless meatballs and £1.75 for a pinch of sliced mushrooms threw on one piece of my pizza. Not worth the money imo. The vegan lasagna was lovely but not worth the hour long wait! Very disappointing.

Food was excellent and service was good but drinks took a little while to arrive. Table staff work really hard.A bit pricey but loads of offers available including using clubcard vouchers for food which makes it better value.

I booked a table for 2 four weeks ago for today at 7.30pm. When we arrived we waited 5mins for the front of house to greet us and she did it with a can't be bothered attitude. She went to show us to our table and I asked, "Did i overhear you telll another customer there is an hour wait on food?" She replied yes!! I responded, "So, i pre-book and you expect me to wait an hour for food without telling me? She shrugged her shoulders and we left.

First visit. Food was very good. However, portions (beef ragu pasta) were very small and served on a cold plate.Had to take third choice of sweet because two options were not available.
