I've been banking with this branch over 40 years. I've always had plenty of money in the account. During covid I fell into difficulty and was for the first time in my life, low on finances. The bank started charging me daily and when I rang them, they said they will make me an appointment to go into the branch and speak to someone who 'will' be able to help. I attened my appointment and was basically told by the heartless blonde that she will cancel my account as I don't have any money coming in at the moment. Totally disregarding 3 decades of business that ive provided for them. As soon as I was back on my feet, I left these and joined Natwest, up the road where i have had great experience ever since.Halifax on Cheetham Hill Rd is always short staffed. They force you to use the machines which are not very efficient.When it comes to my money, I want to speak to a person, not deal with a stupid machine.

One person in front of me ( who is being served). Second sees me waiting and gets up and goes to her office. The wait was ridiculous

Extremely slow staff and only two staff are working at one time. Just to serve 12 customers it takes them over 1 hour.Never been to such a useless branch were no one wants to work.

Went there today at 2pm and a Halifax employee standing at the door told me they are closing. I asked her that it's 2pm and they shut at 4pm and she said they are shuting early today without giving me a reason. I think Halifax does not like walk in customers.

Such bad experience at this branch. I Need to cash in my account and realised I left my wallet home. I had my bank account details but it was not accepted due data protection. It was very important to make the deposit. I had wait a long time in the queue and it already was 15h51. So asked to someone from home drive to the branch it would take 10min. We?ll unfortunately I was the only customer inside the branch few minutes before close. Actually my 5 years old son was there with me. When it was 16h sharp they started bulling me to get out from the branch. I was desperately try to get a photo from my ID on my phone but I was so nervous I couldn?t find it. My card and documents 16h02 ? in two minutes I even been told they will call the security to remove from the branch? two minutes that I ?overstayed ? inside the branch trying to put money on my account which at the end of the day pay their salary.

Try it, clean, functional, 2 cashier points also cash and deposit machines total of4 and one outside also appointment offices and information desk.

Best staff as compared to other Halifax branches. I've been to Piccadilly and other places but they are best. Bolton branch staff if worst among all..

I spoke to a lovely young lady today called Bobbie from the Halifax 0345 number. I just want to say she was extremely helpful and kind and professional. God bless her .

Useless. Always closed. Opening hours are not suitable. Doors are locked before actual closing times (probably so staff can leave early).
