On 8th April, at 4:55pm, we were served by a really helpful and lovely member of staff. We waited quietly and politely while she prepared our coffees, and served them to us, and then we immediately headed for the door to leave the shop. Please arrange for her to be promoted to replace the short, mean, rude, harridan who was ?encouraging? the handful of customers to leave the shop by shouting at them. This one should never be allowed to be in any customer-facing role. They would be better deployed in an abattoir, screaming instructions at the cattle on death row; or perhaps teaching the use of Tazers to white American police officers. Thank you for the coffee and snacks, the Möbius lesson in kindness to complete strangers, and a reminder of the inherent duality of human existence.

The food was good, coffee was nice and staff seemed OK but unfortunately we needed the loo. One was out of order and the other looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in several months. It wasn't just "used" it wa filthy. Made us wary of the food after witnessing that. Personally, I'd rather pay 20p extra for the coffee and have a clean place

Visited today Costa coffee at the peel centre Stockport and the place was absolutely filthy won't be going again the toilet was disgusting I would not like to have to take children in my there

Absolutely filthy place, went in just after opening, the fabric chairs are disgustingly stained, the floor looked like it hadn?t been mopped in weeks maybe months, if these are the bits you can see I dread to think what goes on in the back.

Stop off here yesterday to get hot chocolate , cappuccino after Christmas food shopping in local Asda next door after getting back into the car to drive home both drinks smelt gone off which must of been the milk they were using myself partner ended up with bad belly wouldn?t used this Costa again\\n20 minutes wait to make two drinks not that busy inside\\nIf u want a drink made with gone off milk this is place for you

Awarded One Star because of the misleading Breakfast offers, £1-00 Coffee and Crossiant, £2-00 Bacon Bap and Coffee actually bill was £10-95 should read £1-00 and £2-00 off the actual bill of £13-95 !!!!!!!! Read the the Offer Next Visit.

Great coffee as usual at Costa. First visit to this outlet and whilst it follows the standard Costa format, it was surprisingly light inside which made it more pleasing. Service was excellent too

This has got to be the worst run Costa in the North West. It takes on average about 20 minutes to get a hot drink. Customer service is appalling, it?s run by kids who are just plain rude. To be avoided at all costs. Spend your money elsewhere.

This is a terrible Costa. I?ve visited regularly because of it?s convenient location and each time tell myself never again. It?s staffed by kids who have zero interest in customer service. It takes on average 20 minutes to order and receive your drinks. The place is often filthy. Today was the final time I?ll be using this place. We bought hot drinks and a hot sandwich, less than 5 minutes later they told us they were closed and we had to leave. It was 4.05pm and we were halfway through a hot toastie. I asked if we could just finish or the sandwich, the young man said no and if we didn?t leave immediately he was going to call the police. Absolutely ridiculous. At no point in the 20 minutes I was in the queue did anyone tell us the items we were buying were takeaway only. Plenty of other places to eat and drink at the Peel Centre, my advice is to spend your money somewhere else.

My Mum and I went into Costa at the Peel Centre at 4pm on Wednesday (10th August). When we walked in I noticed the female member of staff stacking chairs outside, so I checked the time on the door and it said they close at 5pm. We were with my 4year old son and my 9month old baby who were both hungry, so I wanted to get them something to eat and drink. Firstly, they weren?t serving iced drinks as apparently the machine was broken. Fine. But when I went to the till to buy the toastie for my sons, the male member of staff told me ?no we?re not serving food now because we?re closing soon?. I said ?you close at 5, so that?s in an hour? he said ?yeah well the machines take half an hour to cool down to clean so we?ve turned them off and aren?t serving food now?. I said ?my sons are hungry, a toastie takes 5minutes and you have an hour before you close?, he just shrugged and said ?well it?s off now and we?re understaffed anyway?. I noticed there were 5 customers in the whole place, all of who had been served. I told him again that I just wanted to feed my children and it takes 5minutes. He said ?well sorry but the machines are off and I?m not turning them back on?. I told him that it?s extremely poor service and he again just shrugged. It takes a lot for me to complain about others in the hospitality industry as i was a pub manager for many years before I had my children, and a barista prior to that. However, on this occasion both myself and my Mum were extremely disgusted with the attitude of this member of staff. It was a hot day, and the staff were very clearly doing all they could to have the earliest finish possible. If you close the business at 5pm, you should serve until then. That?s the way it has worked in well run hospitality establishments in my many years of working in the industry. Your staff on the day showed exactly what is wrong with many hospitality establishments in England - lazy staff who don?t care about contributing to the business and just want to do what they can to get out of there as soon as possible. My 4year old was very hungry and asked me why he couldn?t have anything to eat, so I told him I would take him somewhere where they actually serve their customers. And that?s what I did, meaning this Costa lost out on valuable income on what was a very quiet afternoon (probably because they very clearly wanted to discourage anyone from staying there for long). Poor service, I won?t ever go to this Costa again. If I was a manager here or a franchise owner, I?d actually be ashamed and disheartened that my staff cared so little about the business. I know I certainly wouldn?t employ people who were so unprofessional. We drove to a different Costa elsewhere and spent our money where the staff were welcoming and professional. I visit Costa frequently and have never been met with such poor service as I have at this particular franchise.

The staff were great even with how busy they were they still pleasant and also brought the drinks out when they ready as I was unable to carry them out

Like any other Costa coffee, would be better if it had a drive thru.
