Been a member of a good few gyms now and this one hands down is the best in Wigan. Particularly since its had its renovations.I'd take the opportunity to say there's a few aging bits here and there that could do with a good scrub or the odd tile replaced etc but overall really well kept gym.

Really disappointed with the classes recently. Very few classes at night. Sometimes there are no classes at night. The classes that are on are too early, a lot of people work 9 to 5 therefore unable to attend the 17.15 classes. They should be put back to 17.30.

little bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. always clean wonderful staff and facilities and overall a really pleasant gym experience. it's never overly busy if you go at the right times and there's pretty much always a spot free for me to do my workouts. not to mention the great pool and sauna for you to use. Great place and I would definitely recommend

Fitness First is a great gym full of all the kit you could need for strength, fitness, cardio, classes, squash courts and a relaxing pool, jacuzzi and steam room area. It is a welcoming place with staff that all want to help you succeed (including myself!) and we are here for you to ask questions.Shout out to the main man and lady Curtis and Alison who are both such valuable parts of our gym, always keeping it looking impeccably clean and a nice environment for everyone.I?ve been a part of this gym for over 16 months and I have worked with some amazing people and clients that have now become friends.Try new classes, request info on PT sessions, ask for advice and someone will be able to assist you.Welcoming and friendly.Laureena @fitnessbylaureenaPersonal Trainer & Online Fitness Coach

The gym itself is OK, but very weights centric. At certain times of day there are dozens of children running around the corridors as they have swimming classes (avoid the pool at these times, it gets crowded)They also very evidently allow male members to use the female changing rooms.The worst thing for us though were the reception Staff.One of the young women literally turns her back whenever we walk in and another male continues playing on his phone. Glances up then ignores you. Neither of them ever welcome you.We are two elderly women, so are, probably invisible!Now left and attend Bolton. Much friendlier :)

Honestly, i do enjoy this gym, the staff are lovely and on the training side of things the equipment is all great. The big let down of this place is the facilities onward of the changing rooms, the showers are quite disgusting for the most part, the wet areas beyond that are usually falling to bits and unclean. Writing this in hopes that someone does something about it.

Good variety of equipment and classes but some equipment is very old and in need of replacing. Also the swimming pool is used for children swimming lessons at weekends so it is nearly impossible to find space to swim. Jacuzzi is frequently broken and has poor jets

I think this place is a joke. I was refused a pad lock when i needed one and told not to worry bye the staff and that nothing ever gets robbed from here... then while I was in the pool a person wearing a red t shirt was seen in my locker,, I later realised that £360 was taken out of my wallet and my wallet was put back in my pocket..... and the gym has done nothing to help after putting me in this situation. They say there not even able to check the cameras

I?d like to thank a particular staff member (Nic). I am a virgin when it comes to the gym and nic went out his way to helpMe with a few machines to use during my workouts etc! Very nice bloke

This is a great gym , all staff are friendly and helpful , I did a class with Liam , he was fab, I'm deaf and he used his phone to tell me instructions when I couldn't hear ! Really good of him , and a great class , trax he was a great trainer and really knew his stuff !! I've done rox and body combat too which are good , the pool and steam room are good and the changing rooms spotless (as is the gym floor!) they also have a good selection of protein products near the reception !!All staff are really friendly and work tirelessly, another mention to Nic who translated class instructions for me today also in Rox!

Terrible, money grabbing gym. I took a wrong turn and stopped in the car park for a couple of minutes to check directions. I then received a £200 parking fine even though I didn?t get out of the car. Not even an option to dispute the fine

I highly recommend Fitness First Wigan. The facilities are modern, clean and spacious. They put on a variety of great classes like Yoga, Rox & Body Pump. There is ample free parking for members which is helpful. Most of all, the staff are always on hand to help, with a smile.Shout out to Nick, Alicia, Jess (x2), Elisha, Jodie, Kieran & Liam to name a few!

What a gym! Alicia at reception was so welcoming and when I needed spotting during my workout, Nic was extremely helpful in giving me tips for form and assisting me. The equipment was fantastic. Definitely will be going back 10/10.
