“Called in for a coffee and cake and was delighted to be served by Dennis Betts one of my favourite Wigan rugby players. Coffee was excellent and my ginger and orange crunch cake was delicious. Dog friendly which is a bonus ?”

“its a post office right on my doorstep, full stars for handiness and location for me as i can just go out my door to post anything when i need to now rather than walk miles like i used to have to do.”

“We use this branch during the week for our business and the service is always five star. You are greeted with a smile when being served and receive excellent customer service. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Such lovely staff ? Ashley x”

“The staff are exceptionally polite and helpful and have been for the 20+ years I have been going there. Whoever wrote 'rude, pedantic¶noid...' about the staff has never actually been there and needs to stop randomly dipping into a dictionary to draw out words they do not understand.”

“This place was a sheer delight. My friend and I (who is a reformed blonde, who decided to go mousy brown one day. How i miss my blonde friend , we had such wonderful memories together), ventured in this shop after walking through Wigan Flashes and along the canal. There was a stupid pub that was bloody closed, we fancied a beer at first, but due to the lazy landlord we decided to settle for soft drinks instead. This place had a nice selection of drinks in multiple fridges. Also they sold hotdogs. I never understood the term hotdog, i bet not one percent of that hotdog contains poodle. I bet a south Korean would be horrified to bite into a hotdog and find there is no juicy canine meat in them. The best thing about this shop was that it had a budgie. Brilliant , you never see many pets in normal shops. There is a furniture place in Manchester that has multiple cats in it , but i am unsure if that is a good thing as the furniture would be covered in cat hair. My friend, who i wont identity , i will call her miss mousy brown (sigh) hates cats, pulls a face when she sees one . I bet the budgie would hate the cat to. However, I would not blame the budgie, i would hate cats to if i was on their menu. Anyways, this was great place to go, you people of Abram should thank all the gods that exist in the world that this place exists.”

“I came here earlier today and the lady behind the counter is brilliant as always. It’s the reason I always come here. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done in a friendly manner and as efficiently as possible. I just wish all post offices were the same! This lady should be training all other staff members in other post offices. Please keep up the great service ????”

“A good little village convenience store (a Costcutter) and post office that is only 5 minutes walk from The Boathouse pub on the canal, and Appley Bridge Station, and ten minutes walk from the Leeds Liverpool canal path. A good pit stop for snacks and drinks for walkers, cyclists and other visitors. We called in on a Sunday afternoon on our way from Ashurst Beacon to Parbold. A good choice of snacks including at that time of day pies & pasties, sandwiches, confectionery, soft drinks (good offers including some on alcohol if we'd been looking to buy any). A useful community facility for residents and visitors alike. Just down the hill from the Wheatsheaf pub.”

“1st time I’ve visited the store/ PO Since it was a spar, and straight away upon entering I was immediately impressed by the new layout and variety of stock??, I posted a parcel and I couldn’t have wished for better service, the duty lady was friendly, polite and smiling , ( a lot different to the BLACKROD P/O ?) , I left with a THANKYOU in my ear!!! Upon leaving I made a purchase at the provisions till and again the other duty lady had a chuckle at my funny T shirt, and a quick chat with me!!!This experience is exceptional in this age, I cannot thank such a simple visit enough, by the friendliness, joviality and smiling staff???.Well done to all, it was an absolute pleasure calling in but, I SHALL BE BACK, wonderful and THANKYOU all ????”

“When I visited today to post a parcel , the lady who dealt with me was both patient and helpful.Having worked in retail myself I know how some members of the public are impossible to please , especially when they are the ones in the wrong.”

“Stephen is the best post man you have he goes the extra mile without him I wouldn’t be giving a 5 star review, use the bring my label option regular and sometimes system messes up so end up with post person saying I’ve not selected it until I prove it via my emails some not interested like I’m the problem where the issue falls on Royal Mail ? but Stephen always chats and listens don’t just walk of snobby have had few other nice people but just don’t help me, Stephen has gone the extra mile on more than 1 occasion he deserves a Christmas bonus and more luck after him there isn’t many like him anymore unfortunately, I understand things go wrong but when ignored it makes customers angry and then leave bad reviews get more Stephens and you will have 5 star reviews in no time THANKS STEPHEN”
