Amazing sofas and amazing staff, but promised delivery before Christmas and now it keeps getting pushed back. I understand that there's a pandemic going on but we've had no calls or emails to notify us of these changes. We was promised delivery on the 20th November 2020, then I phoned to confirm this so I can organise collection of our old sofa, then I'm finding out it's been pushed back to the 27th. Not a problem, its a week later. Then I phone up today (12th November) to try and get a confirmation, so I can sort out delivery, and again I find out now that its been pushed back to the 17th Dec. Apparently its been pushed back to the 27th, then the 30th November, then the 11th of December and now the 17th, and we've had no notice at all about any of these changes. Why promises delivery before Christmas but don't deliver.? I work in construction and even there we talk to the customer... Even with a pandemic going on. But we find out for the customer if we can still deliver. Your not.! Where a ground floor apartment with patio doors and where 50 yards from the car park. Did you know that? Communication is key and you lack on that. So please can someone let me know what's happening because where getting really annoyed with this, and it's promises that your not delivering onJust had an email back (16/11/2020). honest to god its like they are a broken record. Stuck repeating the same thing saying they don't contact you until the due date of the sofa. How hard is it to let people know that there's a delay? We'll extreamley is the answer to that. Very poor customer service.(17/11/2020) Well all I can say is that all round, SCS are extremely poor at customer service. I've emailed them as requested and every single one of them can't help at all, and they are all stuck on repeat. They don't want to even try and help you because they are blaming covid for everything. Not being funny but if other companies can deliver as normal with covid measures and Communication between the customer and themselves. Why can't you? Your making an easy thing really difficult. And at this moment in time. If people are spending alot of money with you. Communication is key especially at this moment in time with everything that is going on with the world.19/11/2020, in response to your letter and also your amended response. What are you not getting. We understand the estimated date. It's the fact you don't NOTIFY YOUR CUSTOMERS OF ANY CHANGES. there's no point in doing an estimated delivery date because you get people hope up of getting a new sofa and it's a poor way of confirming a sale. So by giving a date is only getting people hopes up for that date. If I was you I wouldn't even put this on. In regards to your poor excuse of a letter blaming covid and not having the materials. Again all I can say to that is if The Range can deliver sofas without a estimated delivery date. But a delivery date. Then why can't you? My parents ordered a sofa the same time as us through The Range. And guess what. They've had it 3 weeks now. Think you may need to look into things there. like I've said if other companies can deliver things on time and contact customers about any changes. Then why can't you? People warned us about SCS but we saw a nice sofa from yourselves. The quality of the sofas are amazing but the customer service and after care is poor. Once the sale is on. It's like you don't care. Think you really need a shake up in your management because I can tell you now. Ill change alot if I was a manager there looking after, after sales and customer service11/12/2020 Well after complaining about this, we are finally getting our sofa on the 19th December 2020.... It's only taken since the 10th of September to get it. They at first said was wasn't getting it at the weekend, after stating numorus times we needed a weekend delivery. Sofa cushions sagging with around 9 months of use, single person living alone and working full time, Heaven help families expecting a sofa to last as a sofa should.Aftercare is shocking, mostly ignored my complaint until I chased them up, twice sent an ?engineer? To literally just plump the cushions. Then eventually got an email from the aftercare team saying the cushions are filled ?To weight? (even though their own engineer demonstrated a third of some of the casings were empty), copy and pasted a list of loopholes they have for every possible flaw (most of them nothing to do with my issue), and said about three times in the same email that this would be their final response (it was their only response) and that I can contact the ombudsman.Ombudsman sent an engineer who said the same thing, no fault, I later find out that the furniture ombudsman is funded by the clients that use it, I.e SCS, so of course they had no problems passing me off to them, because they?re playing for the same side. Nobody is looking out for the customer.

Excellent experience. Staff very friendly, was greeted by Gaynor (the assistant manager, I believe) and offered tea! Which other furniture chains offer you tea, eh!?I've been there several times as I don't choose sofas quickly or easily, but she and Lisa (the manager) and the other staff there were so patient, kind and helpful. Normally, if you're not ready to buy in seconds in most stores they lose interest and can't be bothered to help, not so here. I've been back today - after spending over an hour there a few days ago - and finally placed the order for the sofa my wife and I want.We've wanted a 3-seater "La-Z-Boy" power recliner sofa for a couple of years now and from my shortlist of 5 a couple of days ago, I had whittled it down to 2 by today and eventually we went for the cheaper of the two we liked the most. But, despite going for the cheaper sofa (by about £500), no attempt was made by Gaynor or anyone else to pressure-sell us into going for the other dearer one, that in itself is commendable and reassuring. What you decide to go for, is what they will sell you, zero pressure selling here. So now we await delivery of our new sofa next month. Gaynor asked us to send her some pics when it's delivered and set up, and we'll certainly do so!She also said the Wigan store is the smallest store in the SCS chain, but don't let that put you off. The store actually pretty big for a sofa store and others in the chain seem barely much bigger anyway. It's spread over two full floors (with a lift for those unable to manage stairs) and the range seems to be the same as two other local SCS stores I've visited. But because they're a bit quieter, they have much more time to serve you than perhaps they otherwise would in a busier store. That said, given how friendly and helpful they are, they deserve to be a lot busier!Thanks again Gaynor and Lisa, and oh SCS management, if you're reading this, Gaynor certainly deserves to be promoted to store manager when the time comes! She clearly works very hard and deserves that reward!

Fantastic experience. On arrival at the store my wife and I were greeted by Lisa, the store manager. My wife and I were offered drinks as it was quite warm and then asked what we were looking for. After discussing and looking at a few options, Lisa sorted out a fantastic deal for my wife and I, far exceeding our expectations. We were very satisfied with the service provided and over the moon with our purchase. We would definitely recommend S.C.S Wigan to anyone looking for a great deal and a wonderful shopping experience.

i had a small issue regarding delivery for the nevada lazy boy suite and Lisa and co at the Wigan store went above and beyond to get the problem rectified. The level of customer service was amazing and i am very happy with my new sofa !

Took my friend to pick a sofa, Bernie served us making us a coffee ?? and tea ? very good customer service.Then I was talking to the store Manager Lisa telling her I had a bad back and in the near future was wanting a suite and picked out for me the Tamla lazy boy which I I tried and will be perfect for support for my back.I shall be returning to buy, Lisa was amazing ?

Very happy with the carpet we ordered with SCS Wigan, Marcus the wigan branch manager is very helpful and friendly. Made the order in the shop and good advice given. Emailed and informed about the schedule. The carpet fitter is very efficient and good job done. Can't be more happier with the result.

Couldn?t of had a better visit than I did than visiting the scs store in Wigan, non-hassle sales service and a great choice of sofas and other furniture items, all the staff was a pleasure to deal with, Lisa and Michelle on the sofa side to liz Marcus and Bernie on the carpets which I chose a full run for my new house. Thanks again to everyone and will fully recommend
