My 5 years old son had a very severe form of Chickenpox that unfortunately lead to skin infection. We called 111 at 11:45 on Sunday 18th of February following the NHS red flags symptoms. The lady from 111 sent us to see the pharmacist in Boots Old Basing Mall. I specifically asked the lady what time are they closing as my husband was at work and I have a toddler as well and not driving. She said not to worry they are closing 4PM. My husband managed to find someone to cover his shift and rushed home and took our son to see the pharmacist at 3.24. When he got there the pharmacist said was busy with someone else and said they are closing at 4PM and why we came so late. My son had fever for the last 5 days, he was in a lot of pain and discomfort not able to walk properly and he needed to be seen by someone just to confirm his skin is infected and to prescribe an antibiotic. The pharmacist never came out to see him. He kept sending someone who was in training to ask questions, that 111 already asked and was in the report that they received. On the report also clearly said about the infection. At this point my husband started to get annoyed with all the situation as our son was in pain and clearly noone will see him as the person on training was saying they are closing soon(in 40min!!!!). What is more ridiculous and made me write this complaint is their report posted on NHS app by the pharmacist Zoe, that my husband got there at 3:40 that easily can be checked on CCTV it was 3:24 and that it took him 4h to get there(because he was working) after we spoke to 111. Also that he refused to take the printed red flags for chickenpox, that we already followed to call 111 in the morning. He left, because clearly noone care to see a child who was in pain and suffering. Luckily the out of hours GP called to see us at 7:30PM and when he saw in what shape my son was he sent us straight to the A&E, as he confirmed his skin is infected and needs antibiotics ASAP. We went to the A&E waiting until 2 o'clock in the morning to get the antibiotic that could easily be prescribed by the pharmacist. Looking at the reviews this is not the first time they refuse to see someone because they are closing soon in 40min or 20min or 15min. I thought you have the duty of care. How can you refuse to see a 5 years old child with fever, in pain and barely able to stand? Why people choose to do this job if you are not there to care and help, at least in your opening hours???

Wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to Louise who served me today in Boots Basingstoke. I stupidly didn't pick up a basket and had my 2 year old in tow and ended up dropping my shopping ? Louise saw and offered to take my shopping for me to the till. She was super friendly, also pointed out I was missing out on a 3 for 2 deal and got someone to run back up for me. Its kindness like this when doing busy Christmas shopping that makes the difference. Thank you

I was at the till to pay for my product and I thought the price was lower than what was charge. I was wrong and apologised. But the woman at the till literally rolled her eyes at me and after huffing and puffing she said she checked the price. I understand how stressful work and life can be. But we all deserve to be well treated. I thanked her and left feeling I didn?t need this situation added on my day.I felt awful.

Store is well presented and has a number of satellite stations for makeup and cosmetic brands.Major issue with this store is the lift. If you have a pushchair or wheelchair and need the lift they take you out the back and you get put in a industrial lift which is very uncomfortable when all you want to do is take a look at there selection!

Went there to collect some medicines. I needed an advice for my wife who was sick. I reached the place at 5:45 but unfortunately could not find help. The person who was supposed to be there was somewhere else and I was kept on waiting for her. She comes back at 6 and just draws the curtains displaying it?s closed. Didn?t even bother giving me any explanation. Felt awful with that behaviour. Better to consider another boots that has better patient oriented personal. Avoid this one !

Order prescription online been waiting since 13/9/2023 contact them on 22/9/2023 asking how long I have to wait until I can collect them, the lady on the phone said we will text you if it ready I told her they already took my money since 13/09/2023 then she's asked for my details and said yes your prescription here you can come to collect anytime Unbelievable service! Quick to grab money but unprofessional service.

Dear Boots!I am very dissapointed in your stores recentlyI have been in 3 stores nearby and none of them had the Parenting Club freebies I had on my advantage cardThe personal Also was very rude with me(a pregnant woman) complaining about how busy they are and they dont wanna waste their time with my free items.I dont understand if you provide these why dont you ever have them and why is the personal rude about it???They Also did not had the Emma s Diary free pack either..Obviously these items are not always accesible they go out from my card in 1 day and i cannot go in every day to check and bég for these.Very disrespectful and dissapointingI love going to Boots but Im sure this will affect my future shopping in there.Zsuzsa
