Travel Money was abysmal. Don't keep to advertised hours, or even advise you if they'll be shut when a colleague calls ahead and says you'll be coming. I went to the Newbury branch for a particular currency, and while they didn't have it, they advised Basingstoke had lots of stock and even called a colleague to check. I went immediately, so arrived about 30mins later, and the desk had closed for the day so I've made an hour's return trip for nothing

Being that the machine was playing up and there were 3 staff stood there "talking to a customer" (gassing), they may have noticed the assistance red light was on. So I waited. And waited... then used the time honoured "oi", which worked nicely thank you. Big man over 6ft comes over to ask if I said oi. Yes says all 5ft woman of me, or in other words puddle off mate, the bigger they are the harder they fall. "Please don't say oi" the woman says. Try serving your customers then, I haven't got all night to stand there like a lemon while the queue grows even if you have. And I'm on the spectrum cheers so don't put me in bloody awkward circumstances in the first place!

If you think to get a job here better think twice, from 4 days[flexi contract] of work they cut to 2 days of work 2 weeks in a row, and maybe will keep going, and they dont offer full time jobs anymore is well, because on flexi contract you dont have same amount of holiday like on a full time job so is a win win for them, greedy store manager. They dont care about employeers anymore.

I feel like this store needs reorganizing again. The home section is probably one of the smallest I've seen in a tesco. I've also noticed that the amount of clubcard prices on items seem to be decreasing and it's more compared to Aldi. Compared to sainsburys they are more expensive and with the introduction of wider nectar price this will probably continue. The stock levels were also shocking with many of them not being back until mid June or even early July!!Very poor store!

Good. Be better if they didn't keep cancelling internet orders

I?m writing about the click and collect service from this Chineham Supermarket. I give it 3 stars because when ordering there are no instructions sent telling you where to collect the items other than you need a smartphone. Indeed you DO NEED a smartphone when collecting. On arriving at the store we had to ask 2 members of staff where click and collect was. The first person didn?t know. We were told it was in the top car park. After walking up to the car park there was no signage that said Tesco Click and Collect. I had to ask a trolley collector and I was pointed to an area where there was a purple sign saying entry. No mention of Tesco click and collect. I then saw some shoppers queuing and asked what we then had to do. They directed me to a red QR code reader. Again no labelling to say it was linked to Tesco Click and collect. The reader worked and then the phone asked me to confirm name and car registration number. We were on foot as we collecting 2 items! I was able to enter NONE. Having got through that part of the process we were in a queue and waited about 10-15 minutes for our items to appear. If we had not seen anybody in the top car park to ask we would not have had a clue what to do. I hope this review helps people doing click and collect for the first time. I?ll stick to my Sainsbury?s online ordering in the future. It just happens that Tesco sell a particular gammon on the bone product only they sell and is excellent for Christmas time.

Good branch, most of staff are great but the lady on the customer service desk needs to be kept away from customers, she?s really rude.

We've been shopping here for several years without any real complaints (apart from the constant moving of goods around the store which creates chaos!).However, instead of increasing the range of packed fresh meat available since the butcher counter was closed, the selection (size and range) seems to have been reduced. So much so, I'm sure that I'm not the only one thinking (actually, being forced to) or have already moved their business to another supermarket (which I really don't want to do). In addition (I think this goes for all stores), Tesco need to find a solution to the huge shopping trolleys being used by their staff for home delivery. If there is more than one in an aisle, it is blocked and the staff really don't appear to be aware of this. Very often their trolleys are in the middle of the aisle and no one get passed. Either further in-house training is needed or managers need to walk the aisles to give on the job guidance.Tesco don't appear to have a way to provide this type of feedback on their web site which is why I've resorted to a google review.

A lot of the more expensive food missing, because of the economic crisis, I think they needed to cut down on the stock overall and on some more expensive brands. After 1pm a lot of empty shelves.

Queues were quite bad today but they eventually got a grip. Always great quality produce and prices.

The store was lovely and cool on a very hot day. The shelves were well stocked and I was able to buy everything I needed. The store was clean and tidy, as excess packaging was being collected.

Chineham tesco superstore is big with lots of varieties especially fresh fruit and vegetables available with lot of offers and deals for club cards. Very nicely located on the way to reading to stop by and shop and with almost 24 hours fro m monday to Saturdays. A lot of options with own tesco brand choices to opt, fresh from farm and local produce sections. Very big frozen, bakery sections and plant based section. A lot of plastic free loose vegetable and fruits and shop fresh. A nice location to stop back during walk to grab a snack.
