Can't take out money!!!!Another "Digital branch"! What nonsense! You can take out money with the ATM's but anything larger, say a car purchase from a member of the public, you'll have to get the money out from the Guildford branch!How ridiculous is that for a bank?!!!Also if you are a First Direct customer (part of HSBC), you cannot use the cash paying in machines as they still don't recognise Mastercard debit cards. Has been years since first direct moved to Mastercard yet HSBC still hasn't bothered to update their machines. They can't even be bothered to stick a label on the machines to point this out and avoid you wasting time.You can use the post office to pay money into your account. This should be promoted better inside the bank and HSBC website.Not even open on Saturday.

Missed out on the 5th star because its just a digital branch with no counter staff - too common these days. However, a recent visit with my elderly dad was made so much easier by Lynn's friendly and professional help on the front desk.

I went into HSBC today, I got put through for a consultation. I did have to wait quite a while however once I was called by Danielle the service was immaculate. As a 22 year old who does not have great knowledge on credit cards she not only helped fix my issue but went through every last question I had. Not only this but she was extremely professional and friendly. I will be going back to her for any future queries :)

Today i went to HSBC bank farnborough branch with my dad to update his details and also to register online banking...lynn was at customer service helpdesk. She was very helpful....excellent customer service..

Shockingly incompetent.I'm 26 now, I'm used to people not being able to do their jobs, but HSBC take it to another level.I open an account online before Christmas, hoping to have it set up soon so that some of my clients can have a better service. I have to wait until the 8th January to receive part of my account information. The pin and the second half of my account number.I'm then waiting 3 more days, and still don't receive my card or first half of my account number, despite getting an email 2 days ago telling me that I should have my details by now. What's more shocking? The phone number in that email that you're directed to if you don't have your details, requires you to enter your details (e.g. card number) to access the customer support. What genius designed that system?After wasting hours trying to get through to their thick customer service, the non-English speaking person on the phone doesn't understand me properly and thinks I've given the wrong security information. I have no idea where my personal details have gone, such as my name, address, and the other half of the account information.I now have to wait until Monday to visit their branch, because of yet more incompetence and not being open during normal hours just because it's a Saturday and their thick employees want to watch the football. To visit their branch just to CLOSE THIS BREACHED ACCOUNT. Yes that's correct, my personal information is floating around somewhere and I can't do anything about it until Monday. Incompetence. I now have to waste yet more of my time trying to open an account with another bank.HSBC ARE A RISK TO YOUR SECURITY. THEY ARE LAZY AND INCOMPETENT. DON'T USE THEM.

If you dont have online banking,how do we do business with your bank ,I need to change d.d.,its costing me a fortune trying to get some help on the phone.the other banks are open!!!!!

Sat for half hour no one approached me i went to the counter and asked for someone the clerk was nice but no one was available if you can't serve your customers then close yourself the app is bad the telephone banking is bad everything is ancient

I waited for 30 minutes to speak to an assistant, they were 2 in the hall and walked without reason, finally one of them asked me what i wanted, I answered and it took 20 minutes to do the transaction. they told me to go to the cashier and from there he said to go to the ATM, there nobody helped me and there at the cash desk. it was very unpleasant, there was one boy and one girl, because of them I was late at the kindergarten and my baby was scared. So i stay 50 minutes in HSBC branch Farnborough to do a transfer .
