Found it extremely difficult to drop off donations. Very unhelpful and inhospitable reception.

Polite staff....never had any problem with them. Iâ??ve been dropping off used clothes and books for many years. Great to hear as well that they can rage old clothes sheet etc. Keep up the excellent work.

I came in to drop off some donations and upon entering the shop my 3 year old got distracted by the toy display, he found a tambourine and hit it to make sounds (as you would) but was then told by a female mature member of staff that he ought to put it down else he may brake it and Iâ??d have to pay! She spoke to him very abruptly and in my opinion rudely when it didnâ??t even warrant her interference in the first place. Heâ??s 3 doing what 3 year olds do albeit slightly annoying purely because of the noise but that is what a tambourines purpose is - to be hit and produce sound not to mention it was in the kids toy part of the shop.
If you donâ??t want children in there then donâ??t take donations of childrens toys and then offer to sell them if your staff are just going to then tell them off for using them for their intended purpose.
I felt like I had to apologise for my son when in actual fact I had to apologise to my son for the way the staff member had spoken to him.
I fully stand by your cause for doing good things for good people but I really donâ??t like to be made to feel uncomfortable within the shop and basically being made to leave out of anger.
Please train staff in kindness toward kids as theyâ??re fragile and if you spoke to him nicely perhaps even encouraged him then we may have left purchasing the tambourine!
