Was quoted £200 pounds (Grade A) for a i9 11900k mini PC that was purchased for £1100 brand new 3 months ago. This did not include memory or storage that was also installed after buying which I bought separately. Somehow 900 pounds less then new for a product worth £1100 brand new without storage, ram. Cex says their "Trained pricing team" come up with these prices, and somehow the warranty they provide is worth deducting £900 pounds off? I understand that I would not receive 100% but however 20% of the value is insane. Have already had offers to sell to someone on Facebook market place for £900.

AVOIDAlways nice people inside but today I took a product in after checking the price the day before. 28 quid cash for selling to CEX (70 quid brand new from argos). They checked it and offered £21. "oh yeah the price changes everyday, so it's gone down in value". Got home and checked again. £28 quid still on the CEX website. Was fully boxed, all original items, "A" quality item, had even the protection originally shipped, all perfect. Still says £28 quid on website even though they said the price had changed since last night. So they were basically lying.Upon looking at the receipt (strangely it's basically impossible to get a phone signal inside the shop) they said it was "b class", even though it was clearly "a class" as it included all original items included the original box and even the box sleeve. So they bumped it down to b class. But I could only verify when I got home.Clearly up to something dodgy saying "oh the value dropped overnight" well... No it didn't, it's still 28 quid online on your own website.Been here a few times and now wondering how many times I've been ripped off...

Friendly staff quick service. Only minor gripe is that the item was very dusty. If I was selling it I would have given it a clean so it was more presentable and hygienic.

Yesterday I bought 2 controllers for my sons old xbox 360 when purchasing them I mentioned they are very dirty and should probably have had a proper clean before they put up to display the reply was you should see the conditions they come in...very unprofessional...When got home I started cleaning them after 20 min they looked as brand new only then to put the batteries on to realise that they were not working properly boths of them..Next day I come in store to get a refund and I was told that will take about 10 minutes to test them to see what's the fault...I waited because I had no option but they should be testing before they sell it out not when the customers brings it back due to not being working properly overall I spent time cleaning them only to bringing them back and aswell I had to wait so they were tested ? very unprofessional system.. recommend getting your acts straight guys..

I took something in to exchange for cash. Staff were friendly and answered all the questions I had. Plenty of bargains to be had, some competitive prices compared to ebay.

Used CEX exchange centre several times .Always found the Gosport one friendly and helpful ..Have bought ipads and phones and games and accessories from them ..always been good value ..Peace of mind with up to 24 month warranty as well :)

Went to exchange a CPU with them but they refused to even look at it because...and I quote "it's covered in thermal paste". Well it wasn't covered but maybe a tiny amount as the photos show. Company policy!! Jobsworths.

Can?t fault the actual transaction as managed to exchange unwanted games and appliances for a bit of extra cash. However I have never seen a woman that ugly in both appearance and personality, the stench was bad enough let alone her extreme misery and rudeness. She made it apparent that she dislikes her job and provided abysmal service. It felt like she wanted customers to leave the store as soon as possible to avoid having to do any work, which made me feel unwelcome. Hygiene and manner training would be appropriate as never any need to be rude to customers.

This 2/10 looking rude woman gave me an extremely lowball offer (compared to the website) for my games and items in great condition and then was extremely smug and had pleasure about not accepting stuff. Disgusting woman whose lack of professionalism and friendliness will make me never step in the store again and I?m sure other customers would be put off if they received the same treatment. Was very polite myself but unfortunately they couldn?t reciprocate the mutual respect.
