Came in over the christmas period and was amazed by the variety on the festive menu! Even for gluten free people like myself! Me and my family were served by Olivia and she was very helpful and friendly and provided a great service leaving us very pleased with our experience.

Unfortunately we didn?t have a great experience. First we ordered from the new festive chockatina cocktail menu then told they?d ran out of all of the festive cocktails.. then when ordering food the wrong items were brought out, there was a lot of oil in the extra onion rings. In general disappointing, as we were staying next door in the premier inn we were told bar closes at 11:00 we arrived at 10:25 on a Saturday night and told the tills we?re closed and couldn?t have any drinks. Again very disappointing. I feel that if it wasn?t for the trapped patrons from the premier inn this pub would be closed permanently. Unfortunately I will be avoiding brewers fayre pubs as I feel there?s an imbalance of customer care, especially as people staying in a premier inn are the only reason it?s surviving.

Great service from Olivia. She was very helpful and although it was busy she made sure we were accommodated well and always had a smile on her face.

I noticed this one particular girl named Olivia who delivered outstanding friendly service, she was very good in making sure that everything was okay and well. Olivia needs a gold star!

Had been several times before, no problems, today was differen Ordered Cheese and Onion pie. Pastry was like hard cardboard. Offered steak knife to cut it! Declined. Ordered burger instead, this not quite bad enough to send back. One side overcooked a d toug Coleslaw accompanying was a Disgrace contained two uncut pieces of cabbage 2ins by 1 inch. Waited so long for bill had to go rto bar to pay despite restaurant being almost empty. Received half hearted apology

It?s brewers Fayre so you get what you pay for. New menu is nice but not inspiring. Can?t fault the service so all credit to the team that were working.

Only popped in to use the WiFi and have a coffee for work. Easy to use and set up. It was quiet when I went in so perfect

We booked this last minute for a family of 7. We arrived and the restaurant was empty. We got sat at the first table which was near the doors and there were flies everywhere, we asked to move and they moved us to a big round table at the back of the restaurant, more flies! We finally moved ourselves to an area where we could see there wasn't any flies. By this point we were already unsure on eating there due to it being so empty and all of the flies but I have a 2 year old and she needed to be fed. We all ordered the Sunday roast, a mixture of different meats. When it arrived we could already see it wasn't going to be good, the swede was lumpy, the meats (all of the gammon, beef and Turkey) were so tough. The potatoes were soggy yet burnt as if they had been cooked then reheated several times. The Yorkshire pudding was soft. The only good thing was the stuffing. I have taken pictures of all of our half eaten plates and I am sure you can see from these how the dinner was. We also took pictures of the chairs we were sitting on and these were filthy. We told the person who asked if everything was okay that it wasn't but we needed to eat and would it be any different if they replated. Come paying for the bill they gave us 25% off but quite frankly, that didn't justify our half eaten plates. We certainly won't be returning and we were really disappointed.

Came across Brewers Fayre, what a bargain find. Special offers on lunch menu, good portions. Returned for breakfast few days later. Same great standard, excellent service. Two things stand out 1) The staff are excellent & attentive, nothing to much trouble. 2) The place definitely needs a spruce up, this should be a priority. I still feel this deserves too marks

Been here many times before and the food is as good as ever, better if anything with new dishes. Bit disappointed in the state of the restaurant however as it needs a complete re-vamp to bring it back to its former standard. Decor is looking very jaded and tired likewise the furniture, chairs look grubby as does the carpet. Needs a complete refurbishment although a proper clean would go someway towards this. Dead flies and flaking paint on the windows, looking generally uncared for. An definite improvement however is the table service which is much better than having to order at the bar, likewise taking payment at the table at the end rather than in stages as it used to be, so well done on that score. Will no doubt visit again but as stated it needs a refurbishment. Staff are efficient and friendly, thanks must go to Hannah A staff number 5703 for looking after us.
