We were on holiday, from Wales, and my wife realised she had forgotten her distance spectacles. We called in and, despite not being Specsavers customers ?back home?, received excellent attention from David (Gough?). He phoned our opticians, asked for a copy of my wife?s prescription to be emailed and made up a new pair of specs within an hour, including frame selection and fitting.Superb, many thanks!

The initial call to book the test included a hard sell for an extra £10 eyesight test. This was the same hard sell as last year. I had completed this extra test for £10 last year. Their opticians after having the test told me that it wasn't necessary to have it each year. But at the time of booking the appointment they challenged me and asked who told me that and when and said it was a necessary test as it could tell things about my eyes well in advance of disease happening and tried to scare me into having the test done it felt. Their opticians again this time reiterated that it wasn't necessary to have the eyesight test if a person like me had 20/20 vision and healthy eyes. The rest of the service was excellent and the staff I dealt with were very good at the appointment. I couldn't fault them. It was only at the time of booking that was intimidating.

Great experience friendly staff.After visiting a independent opticians a few years ago and costing and arm and a leg and feeling ripped off. I always go to specsavers now.

I managed to crush my distance glasses yesterday and am due to drive to Cumbria on Saturday. The Staff at the Lymington branch pulled out all the stops and magicked a new pair within an hour and a half of my arrival. What service !! Tremendous.

Needs more than 1 audiologist.Specsavers wanted more detail on a Web form. So I did that. Also putting the edit here.Been asked to give more detail as to why I gave a google review.Everything was fine up until 2 days after I'd had the hearing aids fitting appointment.It was obvious that one didn't fit right as I get a lot of whistling.In addition it falling out at times lends weight to that observation.Ok so far. Then I phoned.We'll get him to call by the end of the day you said.Nope. Didn't happen.So I called back. Spoke to David who took notes and passed them on.Did I get a call?Don't be silly.Friday I'm collecting glasses so asked David, who looked into it.Best you can do is an appointment mid March and a note on my details to say don't charge if it falls out.So. If you're taking money from the NHS use some of it to have more audiologists. Failing that tell the NHS you can't fulfil

I was extremely concerned to hear about the experience my 96 yr old aunt had when she went in for an appointment last week to check her hearing aid was working correctly. The 'optician' who saw her did not check her ears and did not manually check her hearing aid. He spent the time checking it on his computer and did not engage with her throughout. His manner was curt and imperious, it seems he did not want to spend any time helping her in any way. She left the shop not being able to hear at all which has caused her a great deal of discomfort and frustration.After looking at the reviews on your website it would appear that the care and attention your staff give to elderly people falls far short of satisfactory. I have recommended my aunt changes her opticians to a company who actually want to help people. I hope people read this review and take their business elsewhere.

My experience in this branch was to have my eyes tested and to purchase if required some glasses.This was done with smoothly with a great deal of professionalism.I normally buy on line but you do miss out on minor adjustments needed to be made, and prices were not much different anyway.
