Unbelievable!!! overheard 2 ladies who work in there slating a customer who had just left. Basically saying a little boys mother was responsible for him being fat, because she bought him a KitKat. The boy could have been no older than 9 years old. And only slightly overweight.Regardless it's extremely unprofessional and rude.I think there is a clique that needs a shake up.Also improve staff training in customer service.Also an addition today. Was told post office was closed at 9.15pm. had to pay £2 to use the cash machine.What actual time does the PO close.? Or should close?

Horrible in there sometimes I see a cat just strolling around and then the tills broke down horrid and the staff some are nice some are not most of them are just smoking outside and the shelves are barley stocked would not recommend

I have lived near an used this shop for nearly 8 years. I will no longer be doing that. Not only has everything we used to buy been removed from the shelves but the quality has also gone down, as has how much of each item is stocked (for example 1 bag of cat litter that is stocked for an estate of 50 plus houses is not working).The last three times I bought items here I have come home to find at least two of the items I have bought have been out of date or gone off before they should have. For example. A pot of jelly for my sons lunch was in date but when he opened it, it was covered in mould. Another time I purchased a burger an it was actually a week out of date. If you have stock on your selves then your customers will assume the products are okay. Its the shops workers responsibility to make sure what they put out is not only in date but also okay to eat.I used to be able to buy my whole food shop here each week however now I'd be lucky to find anything on the shelves and for it to be actually usable.its a real shame that it's gone down hill considering it's the only shop here for the whole estate.It used to be a lifeline but now it's just annoying

Lovely little shop with lovely friendly staff.They always seem to go above and beyond to get to know the customers.The shop is finally looking healthy with more and more stock being put on the shelves.I am so glad Morrisons saved them as without this shop and the lovely staff I would have to travel to cosham and that is not always do able for me.It?s the little things with them like taking my bag off me to pack it as they go so I don?t have to struggle. Or coming round from beyond the counter to grab an elderly gentleman's trolley so they can pack it for him so he don?t have to struggle with a trolley and his stick.Keep working hard guys it doesn?t go unnoticed.

I use this shop regually and the post office to the staff are friendly and polite and helpfulas i am unable to walk far having the shop close by is very helpful and i always get five star service and the good quaity products .

Friendly staff. Can sometimes be a bit slow serving but each person works at own pace. Never had a bad experience in the shop and everyone has always seemed polite and friendly.Limited stock recently but I guess that's cos of all the goings on with the company selling but went in today and it seems to be more selection. Being in an area with some challenging customers and past issues my hats go off to the staff as they do have to deal with alot sometimes. Shops in ideal location for the estate, little bit pricey on some items but cost of living rising.

Brilliant shop and such friendly staff, always happy to have a chat and serve me with the highest possible standard. This shop is and will always be my favourite. Good prices and always some amazing offers available. The staff and like a big family to everyone!

mccolls is my local shop and has been now for 13 years....... It normally has everything I need, and helps so much being at walking distance, All the staff our lovely, Always polite, and put up with my banter and being loud, so well done...... I know since covid and bits, stock has been harder to get, but that is not the staffs fault, They are there to do a job and run the store, everytime I go in there is always staff stacking shelfs with stock, and always willing to help. xx Love kirsty xx

Most of the staff is so rude, unfriendly and lazy. Some of them are on the phone all the time and are ignoring queuing customers. Shelves are usually empty because the staff is often too lazy to unpack the items. Some items are also very overpriced.

Half the staff are lovely and friendly the other half are rude and disrespectful, walked in to hear two employees talking about a regular customer like they we're dirt. Won't go into what was said as it was pretty vulgar, and when you hear something like that it makes you wonder what horrible things they might say about you. That aside there are managerial issues from what I can tell multiple visits reveal that despite being a small shop I often find staff just wondering around or on there phone outside the shop only to walk inside myself and see 60-70% of the shelves aren't stocked. Now I can usually forgive this as depending on the time of my visit it could be that they are awaiting a delivery, only I visited once a day everyday for a week and no real change in the staff's ability to stay on top of restocking the shelves. Not too mention that this level of negligence has landed me in a position where I have paid full price for milk for my child only to get home to see it goes out of date the day I brought it, and if that wasn't bad enough I also had milk that was in date on the label but had hardened gone off milk around the cap. (Probably due to poor storage management or perhaps damaged on delivery) but it's the staff's responsibility to quality check the products as they go to help avoid this. Now it's not all doom and gloom, two of the employees have been the saving grace of this shop. I won't be able to give names as I did not get them, but the two gentlemen that work there have been witnessed by myself and others to go above and beyond to deliver good customer service. For example helping an elderly person who wasn't able to enter the shop with their mobility scooter or when requesting a product that hadn't been restocked they gladly offered to retrieve some of said product from out back, demonstrating the ability maintain an intimate knowledge of the stock while also creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.Quick summary of the post officeBarely maintained/looked after with an ancient perhaps broken heated display half blocking access to it and a complete lack of information on prices for stamps etc. And you are usually met with what feels like utter distain if you need to use the post office and they don't want to do it.SummaryIf you live locally unfortunately they've got the monopoly on the closest shop without having to go all the way up to the High Street. So in that regard you can see why they still exist despite all of there shortcomings/negligence/impolite however if any other place to get bread or milk in the morning shows up nearby this place will go under pretty quick.If I had to rate it

Don't order anything for delivery. They don't keep up to date with any of their stock online. Therefore when you make an order and its processed, they message after to say several items were not in store. Pointless order, my crisps, chocolate and drink didn't come. Only milk and ham. The only reason I made the order was for some snacks as I'm pregnant.Keep your online shopping up to date ! You're a joke !

Good local shop, use the post office regularly. Great for little things like chocolate. Cash point charges but cash back is free inside.
