“I ordered 14 items of medication at the same time. Today I had only 1 of those items delivered. This seems like a waste of fuel and resources. Why were all items not collated and delivered at the same time? This is not the first time this has happend that I have had two items delivered sperately on the same day.”

“Only appears to share one phone line for external customers. It's a reason why I chose to give 4 **** instead of 5. It's not my fault. However I use this pharmacy myself, as it's convenient to use and quite spacious. I enjoy the home delivery services.”

“I have just had earwax suction removal with Jose Rodriguez and found the whole experience first class. Unlike other audiology clinics offering at least a ten day wait, I was able to make an appointment the next day with Goldchem.Jose explained the whole process very clearly and I felt very confident in his ability as we started the procedure.All the wax was removed and my hearing was returned to normal.Please pass on my thanks to Jose.”

“This continues to be the loveliest community pharmacy. Staff have made the effort to know me by name when I come in to grab my prescription. A couple have worked there for years alongside Mr Bobat and have continued his ethos and others who have joined have naturally just picked it up. Unquestionably accepting and lovely staff.”

“Kim is an asset to this store. Had issues with my prescription and as I was in Portsmouth attending a graduation for the day, I needed it sent there (rather than the usual Reading). Herself and the pharmacist faced a system error and a fax machine problem but they eventually managed to receive it from my surgery. They were in constant contact with me through the whole thing. Brilliant customer service and an asset to the company.”

“We been treated very well in Boots Portsmouth UK (commercial road), very courtesy, the optician and a doctor done a great job as well as given us very good advice, in fact, on 3rd Nov 2023, my wife ‘s eye feeling so bad and visited Boots’ Optician, then after checked by the in-house’ doctor, we been told that my wife’s eye got a Cornel Ulcer on the Cornea which needed an urgent care! Immediately, she (the doctor ) proceeded sending a referral letter to Queen Alexandra Hospital, and help us to make an urgent appointment in hospital, he (another staff) in Boots gave us the address of the hospital right the way, and printed out to us the related report from the doctor, for our reference!A call called us on the morning of 4th Nov, and confirmed that Boots has sent the referral letter to Queen Alexandra Hospital directly, that they already make an appointment for us, so we just go and tell our name which we will be arranged to see the doctor!So we went & be checked & got medicated at QA on 4th Nov afternoon, and it will be following up again on the 8th Nov at QA too! “Lovely staff who really show a personal touch. I pick up a monthly prescription, and there was a manufacturer's issue with one item last year. I expected to have to go back to my GP and organise a replacement, but the pharmacist did everything for me. I walked past one of the team outside of the pharmacy this week, and she greeted me by name. Wow! They'd get 6 stars from me if that was possible!”

“I didn't know the pharmacy and advice area was closed for lunch for 45 mins so there was a wait of 30 mins but the staff when back on duty were very helpful. The pharmacy was short on a few things which you don't expect with Boots. My rating is closer to 3 1/2 based on my experience on the day.”

“Very good store. 2 floors. Upstairs mainly containing clothes, technology, cooking and all kinds of bits and bobs. Great selection of diary and vegetables. Always plenty to choose from. The store allows customers to use scan and go app, or to use your own hand held scanning gun. The store has a lot of parking spots to customers. Perhaps I believe they could convert a few spots into disabled bays. The biggest issue with this location. They simply don’t have enough tills to help with the flow of customers. They always had every till up and running but now they only have 1 or 2 tills open. They have the staff and have the tills. Please help by opening extra checkouts to stop the long wait in queues, the long queues also block the flow of shopping. It’s a challenge to manoeuvre through all the isles.”

“The staff are friendly and helpful but they could definitely be a bit quicker in coming to assist. I think it would be better if the staff preparing the prescriptions were out of view, a lot of people get the impression they are ignoring customers even though that’s not what they’ve been tasked to deal with that shift. It definitely gives that impression though when the customer in front has 10 minute chat with the pharmacist and no one else comes to help the que of 5 people.”

“I have to visit quite a lot for multiple medications for myself and my wife. The staff are always very courteous and helpful. However repeat prescription turn around times are now much longer although much of this I suspect is to do with a slow response at the local surgery.”

“Boots is a well known shop in the UK without doubt. In most stores, you will find pharmacy service. I have visited the shops in different counties several time these few months. Their staff is helpful. However some shops the internal 'environment' (decorations) is dated (or the maintenance job is properly done).Recently I went to a shop for eye drop for tackling minor infection. When I told the staff I had tried the one that it is displayed and would like to try other one, the staff told me of the infection does not completely cured then I should see a GP. She is very polite and her suggestion is reasonable. Yet it is a very different experience from the place I come from (an Asia city). We would have st least score of choices of almost all nonprescription medicine. But only few dispensaries will provide pharmacy service. Nevertheless I wonder if this is logical (not reasonable) to just keep a single product unless all other brands the ingredients are exactly same.Sometimes I found some products are out if stock in the shelves. This gives a not-so-good image od the store management. Nevertheless this may be due to short of manpower. Also this may be the reason of closing the store for lunch break; to me (again being as a non local and with little experience in biz) this is an 'amazing' arrangement. :). Anyway, Boots staff is helpful.”
