“Always clean and well stocked, only negative is their tills, always very slow and take me longer to get through the tills than it does to get there, find what i need and then get home. Same amount of time spent in the queue.”

“Please pass on a compliment to the driver of PF72 FOC who delivered to Cosham around 12pm today. He was so helpful and went above and beyond to help us when the beef we ordered arrived smaller than expected. We know the pickers can’t always guarantee the sizes and we were refunded the difference. He called the shop to see if there was any available and they could re-deliver larger sizes but unfortunately they couldn’t. He didn’t have to do that! Thank you”

“ALDI runs a smooth shop with a wide range of items. They've added self-checkout machines, which is a really helpful addition and the staff keeps them in good shape.”

“The staff ate all friendy and helpful. The only parking is on residential streets and the prices are a bit higher than the big stores BUT I don't mind paying the extra few pence if it means we keep having a store that's within walking distance. And let's face it, if you went to a bigger store, you'd probably buy a load of stuff you didn't really need, so you'd spent a lot more plus travel costs.Use it or lose it, like our Sainsbury's Local.”

“Very pleasant food shopping experience shelfs seemed to be well stocked with plenty of choice was quite busy. Just a word of warning if you do not normally shop here is to register your car when leaving otherwise you can be hit with a large parking ticket ???”

“Good shop stocked well. To get home delivery is only ever in the evening as all deliverys are taken from online orders. So if need to order in-store must get down for opening g to get a slot”

“Thank you Tesco Esso Express at Copnor Road for having petrol this morning, you rescued us when we were getting desperate! Thank you too for the efficient way your staff were managing the flow of traffic, they must have been so uncomfortable in the heavy rain and soaked through. Thank you too for the staff member who watched the back of my car to make sure I avoided the bollard. Great service!”

“Needs more staff on tills especially when people want their goods delivered...holds up queues!!! Stock levels need to be checked regularly as some items off sale and very hard to get hold of staff to get some from the back store”

“Conveniently located Tesco Express directly on the walking route from Fratton Station to Eastney Naturist Beach but could do with a wider range of sandwiches + fruit and veg. However the Tesco Extra is only 0.25 miles away if you need this extra choice.”

“It's a Tesco in current year, so if you're surprised by the relatively high prices you may not have popped in one for a while. However as a it's a major supermarket chain it seems a little silly to review the company as a whole here. Instead the 5 stars are for excellent staff performance from a customer's perspective.”

“Great place to park to walk down to the sea. Very reasonable parking rates of you validate your parking in store with a purchase. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

“A big thank you to Paul and his colleagues who took pity on us arriving tired and hungry after a rough ferry crossing from Bilboa. We'd travelled out with our car but had had a nasty crash and written off the car so we had to return as over-laden foot passengers. You let us stay till our son could pick us up; we are very grateful. Thank you again.”

“Just wanted to say, the petite lady with the dark bob this morning who helped me when I split my coffee was amazing. Great customer service. I'd normally get really embarrassed but she was so calm and so nice about it, and wouldn't even let me help her clean it up. Thank you for turning an awkward situation into a understanding one, I left the store with a smile on my face!”

“In a bit of a rush. Needed some sandwiches after a walk with the kids. Super helpful staff. Couldn't be sure which drinks were included the meal deal. Staff very happy to help. Good service”

“One of the best Tesco in Portsmouth. The shop is big and has many good quality items. There's a good selection of clothes and there are often promotions and discounts. The shop also offers a wide range of home accessories and always has a good stock of fresh and usually very tasty salads, quick meals, fruits and vegetables. The self checkout tills are a good idea and make the shopping experience for many people easier and less stressful. Unfortunately, if you want to use a traditional till, you must be prepared to be served by a member of staff who is scanning shopping extremely slowly and is struggling to remove security tags from clothes ??‍♀️”

“The staff are always really friendly to me here... They are always packed I don’t know how they keep so cheerful when it seems like one of the busiest co-ops in Portsmouth. They are also the most easy shop to call up. I’ve spoken to a few shops on the phone in the past, being too lazy to walk a really long way if they aren’t going to stock what I fancy, and the lady I spoke to this evening was so full of bubbliness that I didn’t feel at all like a pain (even though I totally was). Highly recommend”

“Its ok as a pop in to pick something up mid-week before your big shop. Its a little "grubby looking" that's the store and some of the customers. Also I agree that the carpark at night would be a bit scary for a lone woman. (Or someone who identifies as one before the WOKE MAFIA start)”

“I am collecting food for Olio meaning that collecting unsold products from Tesco and distributing to those request via application. It is a very good idea so nothing get wasted. This specific Tesco branch is extremely helpful, very well organised and even the waste is packaged to very good standard. This tells me that they really care, either you pay or no pay. They care the community we live in and trying to make an impact. Customer service is first and credit to their managers first and to his staff actually. Impressive and keep up the good work guys!”

“This is my local Tesco Express which is handy to have near. One of the most frustrating things about Tesco Express stores are the inflated prices over the big Tesco stores. You will most certainly pay more for what you buy here, unless offers are available. This aside, the store itself is clean, well lit and actually has pretty good space down the aisles considering the store size. Selection of foods and drinks are pretty good considering shelf space and is usually well stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful and although the normal tills sometimes have a wait, they will put more staff on to speed things up in the queue. Self service tills are also available, as you would expect. I also had a moment of self discovery down near the meal deal aisle. I literally stood there and had extremely deep thoughts about my own existence and I was hit by existential doubt. After a minute, I came back down to earth and picked up a few of the meal deal items and went on with my day and thought nothing of it. The meal deal is always worth living for .”

“I have always loved shopping at Tesco's. Great place for getting everything you need and more. Great for topping up your clubcard as you shop and can be saved up for Christmas. Reasonable prices too.”

“My delivery was lost in track and I have phoned a multiple times to the online team, supposed to come between 11-12 but still received nothing at 4. One of the online team staff said its ready to delivered, the second one said its still in the store and not sure if there will be a slot available the other day. Suggested me to either phone the store directly or contact the online team the second day. I randomly phoneed to the albert road store which I believed a very helpful staff called Aymond answered the call, it took him some times to try to track my order and find the correct store to contact, also suggested new method to solve the problem. Very polite and helpful compared to the staff who I called later. I still like to shop in Sainsbury's but may do the store instead of online shopping now.”
