The Waitrose in Romsey was always a lovely friendly supermarket. It's such a shame they've replaced some of the checkouts with self service. They work fine if you're buying a pint of milk, not so if you have a trolley. If you're going to charge higher prices than other supermarkets then perhaps don't skimp on staff.

I visited on Friday looking for a Poinsettia.Sue pointed me in the right direction and cld nt of been more helpful. She went above and beyond until we found the perfect plant. I cld of hugged her. There are still some nice people in this world. Thank you Sue.

The car park is now back to normal after installing electric charge points. The new self service tools are also a bonus. I always experience great customer service in Waitrose.

Has improved from last visit but I expect some people will not like that most of the checkouts are self checkout now.

I go to Waitrose and pay extra for the service. The ladies at the fish & meat counter (12 July 2023) were the most miserable service Staff I have seen for a long time. The dead fish looked more friendly. Seriously if you don't like your customer facing job then leave. I will be revisiting to see if things improve.

Quite a few product lines missing from shelves still. A lot of restocking going on at the time. It doesn't seem to make any difference what time I shop. And the self scan handsets were not working, 2nd visit in a row this has happened.

Fresh produce such as pastries, sandwiches, etc are not replenished very often which means you're having to buy stuff that's been on the the shelf for a few days. Also basics such as milk can be very low on stock and sometimes not at all.Great staff though and always a good experience overall.
