Most of my reviews are 4-5 stars I would give this establishment zero stars if it were an option. We visited for lunch on a weekday, a few days before Christmas. My partner ordered the ribs which were £19 and the quality was atrocious. She couldn't stomach them. They had a strong taste and smell of rotten meat. My partner eats ribs anywhere, and never before came across ribs she couldn't eat. Staff said they tried them after we complained and said that's how they normally taste. They offered us a free dessert, but we declined as we didn't want any more of their bad food that already made my partner feel physically ill. Appropriate compensation would have been to offer (at least a partial) refund of the dish price.Moving on to the rest of the food:*Breaded mushrooms were weird, hard on the outside, and very watery inside.*Corn on the cob was soggy with no bite to it at all.*Beef burger was passable but not tidy or particularly tasty, definitely not great value for money.*Chips were OK.Overall, I'd say steer clear of this pub for food. You're better off eating at MacDonalds. There's also a much superior pub just a block up the road.

Went out for New Years Eve meal, the service was great, the cocktails very good value, we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

I visited the Balmoral Beefeater and, despite it not being too busy, the service was disappointingly slow. The food from the lunch menu arrived cold, but the taste was enjoyable once we finally received it. Improvements in service efficiency would enhance the overall dining experience.

Absolutely cannot rate this place enough. We popped in on the off chance and they managed to squeeze us in even though it?s Christmas! We had the fillet and the ribeye and the fillet was the best steak my girlfriend had ever had. The ribeye was also cooked to perfection. Can recommend the Mac n cheese!Attentive service from Sophie who was friendly but not too much!We?ll be back!

NOT ALL HEROS WEAR CAPES.After a 5 hours drive from Manchester with two hungry year 2 olds we were gutted to find out there was no room in the inn. Luckily the most amazing attentive hosts managed to find us a table and serve us food in an extremely polite and timely manner. The food was hot and delicious and the bar staff were also lovely, they were also great with our children! We are just sat here with a glass of wine wondering if the people from southampton are just simply all round nicer than mancunans because in 29 years of my life I have never received service like this in Manchester. 5 star all round, GIVE THEM A PAY RISE. Friendly helpful staff , very busy due to upcoming Christmas period. Really appreciate their service. The chief on the day we went was the best we've had. Would recommend you visit.

Pretty hard to mess up a breakfast, but many do. Thankfully not here!! No complaints at all, actually look for a reason not give full marks, food was great. Bonus point for having a manageress you would want to spend every breakfast with ??

If you are a coeliac/ gluten intolerant don't bother to come here. The choice is poor to say the least. I also chose the 2 courses and could not have the soup as they didn't have any, have they not heard of tinned soup. There are many Tomato soups that are free of gluten.The person who booked informed them that a coeliac was coming so really no excuse. I eat out at least twice a month and have never come across such poor service. I shall never eat at a Beefeater again.Dietary restrictions: See above , very poor

Part of a chain of restaurants, typical Beefeater, you know what to expect. Good choice on menu, friendly staff, quick and efficient. All in all recommended.

Came for dinner and breakfast while staying at Premier Inn.It wasn't our intention to eat dinner here, but due to arriving late we took the easiest option and I'm so glad we did!The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was great. The food way exceeded my expectations. The steak was perfectly cooked (and I'm very fussy) the ribs and chicken were so flavoursome and tender.Despite the very cold weather and early start the same staff were in attendance the next morning, with a smile and again, happy to help.There was a very varied selection for breakfast. The cooked breakfast tasty and hot.I would not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone I know!

We went for breakfast which was excellent. The chef was fabulous doing 4 perfect poached eggs. Plenty of choice and tasty food.The Balmoral was also clean and tidy with staff working very hard cleaning and re-laying the tables. Highly

Went for a work meal. Ordered the festive menu. The chicken starter was very nice. I ordered the vegan burger for my main. It was missing the gravy, cranberry sauce and bacon. I asked for the items it was missing and the waitress decided to make a gagging sound about the vegan bacon I was about to eat. Absolutely disgusting. I don't care if you don't like the food I'm about to eat but that is a horrible thing to do to someone who is about to eat it. Safe to say I won't go back, shame because the food was actually nice.Vegetarian options: Not much choice. They don't seem to care if you're not eating meat.

We were so pleased with our meal here. Its been a very long time since we've been to a Beefeater and our expectations were low . However from the receptionist when we walked in , the charming waitress who served us the first class meal we shouldn't have worried. Staying in the attached Premier inn ( which was the best we've ever stayed in ) I returned in the morning for breakfast and once again I couldn't fail to be impressed . Well done all of you. First class.

The food was great and the service was even better. Our host was called Sophie and she did everything to make my sons birthday a fantastic meal!
