“As its the only stores around it was an oasis in the desert.Sells all the regular stuffBUT imagine our disappointment having cycled 40 miles from the new forest to taste the worst pastie this side of Southampton.If I am passing I am sure I would go in again,but would i avoid any "home made" pastries”

“It's a small local store, so don't expect as huge a variety as a superstore. However, they do have a good range of products available and the staff are friendly and helpful.”

“Friendly staff are very helpful and local too. Good selection at Co Op. a little pricey than normal but fridges are always turned down to a very cool temperature. Great for cold drinks in the current climate. 5⭐️”

“A wonderful little store crammed with delicious things - lots of local produce eg cheeses, chutneys - plus staples. 24/7 milk vending machine outside. Lovely helpful staff/owners.”

“Generally staff is friendly ( obviously could happen that one day by chance you get someone who is not in great mood- but that can happen in any shop). There is a reasonable variety of products ( including organic milk for eg.). The shop is normally open till 23:00 which it’s handy.Sometimes you can get some products with discount ( at certain times) as in many Tesco shops. Overall a good shop for what it’s.”

“Quick convent, reasonably cheap if you have a club card and good offers on stuff.i wish they bring back cash to the self service machine so you use both,I think we are getting lazy now with self service just doing card because of covid,bring back cash to self service tills.”

“Love it. As a local, it has many everyday needs. It's calm and the workers are kind and ready to help. They all seem to know what they are doing and the priced are great. Good stock most of the time and covers a wide amount of items, although looking like a small building. One of the best stores to go to.”

“well now!!! it's very handy for me!!! i just live a few metres down the road into salcombe road!!! opening times are fantastic very early all week long!!! and i have looked out my window at times to see how true it is and yes they are!!! can add up a touch more expensive for a full basket with them but budgeting ultra carefully and knowing it's just a few things it can save lots of walking off at odd hours!!! the shop management are asians but keeping your cool about that business is business yeah!!!???!!! they're like the only ones left for my barrs bubblegum fizzy large bottles than relying online orders with amazon dot com so i don't want to blow my custom with them thanks!!! we also buy the happy shopper mansize tissue boxes with them and my bill payer gets his newspapers for him and his critically unwell sister lots of the time before he drives off to her!!!”

“Fabulous staff, they become like a friend after a while, they are so friendly, but also professional. I've not been well with hip & knee pain, & when i've gone in hobbling around the shop, the staff in the co op ask how i am getting on, which is lovely.& xray showed my hip joint has worn away, & waiting for a hip replacement, can't wait to walk properly again pain free. How lucky am i to have this shop/post office walking distance from me.”

“If you are just in need of small shop of your daily needs the this is a good alternative to the larger stores. More of a local convenience store than a supermarket and has about five isles.A few parking spaces are at the front entrance and wheelchair access is available.A self serving coffee machine is available also.Never had any problems with anything so happy to recommend.”

“Used this store tonight and was so impressed with a member of staff named Josh . I saw him confront a lad who he thought had shop lifted a drink, when the lad explained he had purchased it earlier he magnanimously apologised for his error. He then served me and when I explained I didn’t have my club card on me he asked the customer behind me if we could scan his card otherwise I’d be paying £10 for my wine rather than £8 if I’d had my card.It’s really refreshing to see a young man with such loyalty to his employer, integrity when he’s able to admit he was wrong and customer service in going that bit further than he had to. “Nice friendly staff and usually pretty well stocked with everything your gonna need. Now open to 11pm every day so more shopping time for us if you suddenly realise your out of nappies etc”

“The convenience stuff is - ok. It's great to have a post office nearby.The butcher's out back is what makes this place essential to visit though. Order cuts of meat or pick up great barbecue style trays.”

“Im working at the refinery and bought something online and the lady said that i could get it sent there for collection, at the post office counter. Very helpful because my digs does not have a letter box. You have to be working on the refinery though.”
